I am Poppy and I am trying to shape up my body and Lose belly fat. I want to weigh near 145 by the end of the year. Right now I weigh 180 and I am 5'7. I have some questions about Calories in vs. Calories out.
I have looked on several different webpages and everything refers back to 3500 calories = 1 pound. I understand that and I understand that a deficit of 500 calories is the loss of 1 pound/week and 1000 calories is the loss of 2 pounds/week - but this is my initial Question:
I signed up with Livestrong.com/dailyplate and there calculator told me I needed to eat 1615 calories a day to lose 2lbs a week. I checked the moderately active box because I work in and out of my house all day and I am up and down the stairs and a few times a week I either bicycle for about 45 minutes, or I play Tennis for an hour, or I walk either on a track or in my house for another hour & sometimes 30 minutes.
So, If I decide to exercise MORE within a week, do I need to add more calories into my diet by EATING More ?
or do I just continue to lose more weight than 2 lbs a week due to the extra Exercises I am doing?
and ONE more Question - since I checked the Moderately Active box and mod active equals to 3-5 days of exercise - and I decide to workout 5 days a week, do I need to workout 1000 calories a DAY or 1000 calories a WEEK to lose the 2 pounds?
I want to make sure I understand this correctly!!!
