I'm so frustrated. Weight loss is SO frustrating. I don't believe in pills or "fast fixes". I didn't get this way overnight I don't expect to lose it overnight. I have been watching what I eat very carefully for the past month or so, and have been exercising a little. (3 days a week) and I can tell a difference on how my shorts fit, a little. But gosh, I thought I'd be a little further along!! I'm bad and haven't weighed myself in a long time. I need to go buy a scale!! hehe But, even with a scale, I mostly go by how I feel and how my clothes fit.

Yep, I know I need to exercise more frequent and more intense. Then maybe I'll lose it faster, well, then I WILL lose it faster. But its SO frustrating!!

Thanks for letting me vent!!!

To keep myself, on the plan, I weigh myself every morning.

You do know tha when I'm on plan I weigh every day, right?

I am not opposed to weighing every day (every hour if it makes you feel better) just that it cannot be the only measure of your sucess because the number is influenced by so many factors.

But for me, weighing tells me where I am...but I try to use the ups and the downs for mtivation, and judge my progress/success on whether or not I do the things that I plan (like eat healthy and go to the gym!)

Best wishes

hahahaha and I will!! I wanted to get on the second scale in the place to make sure the first was right, but I didn't really want to know!! I'm thinking my shoes weigh 20lbs!! ;)

Yeah, I'm going to go for how my clothes fit & how I feel. When I'm able to get into those jeans or the other workout pants again, then I'll THINK about weighing myself again!

The scale is SO depressing :(

The dreaded scale!

I have finally taken SJ's advice ("the scale is NOT your friend") and I don't weigh myself often.

Yep, you're right! I have been eating healthy. I really can tell the difference in some shorts and today, my workout pants.

However, I made a HUGE mistake, at Jazzercise class today, there was a scale calling my name. So, I gave in and got on it. oh my. I've been so close to tears all day long. I guess I need a day of poor me, how did I get this way, blah blah, etc, to get my mind on track. So, now, I really really want to work so hard to lose my 100+ lbs, and I will. I just have to remember it will take time. But, I'm proud, I passed up the M&Ms and reached for the salad and carrots instead!! Baby steps!

Weight loss is slow. I like 'The Biggest Loser' except that they make it seem possible to lose 5-15 pounds a week - which you can if you are at a high enough starting weight and you make working out and eating healthy a full time job. Otherwise, there are only so many hours in the day, and you can only do so much.

Its kind of all about the math.
