I'll be thinking good and hopeful thoughts for you, Steph! (With all the holiday cooking ahead, I'm sure to hurt myself if I keep my fingers crossed. LOL!)


Be prepared to give those agents a little extra time to respond. Even agents get holidays - maybe not as long as publishers but they still get them. ;-)

lol Yeah my writing councler told me to avoid holidays, but I can't wait any long to send it in lol.

Best of luck.

Start something new immediately. Not only is it the best way to alleviate the stress of waiting, you'll have something else ready to go by the time you have this contracted.

Thanks for posting this, Devon. Diving into another writing project as soon as one is submitted has become second nature to some writers because they've been doing it so long. Others constantly juggle several projects so they always have something else to write.
