Hmmm. We'll need more than one cake for all those birthdays. I started with a French Vanilla with chocolate frosting because that's what was on hand.

What cake would you like next?

Before the end of the month, though, I'm going to have to try a tropical fruit upside down cake. (No pineapple!)

I've been craving some carrot cake loaded with cream cheese icing, but given the season, a rhubarb upside-down cake might be more appropriate. Not sure if the rhubarb's popping up just yet though. It was quite the brutal winter and spring is late in coming here in northern MN.

There are plenty of birthdays to give us an excuse for a sinful amount of cakes!

How could I miss this one? Looks as if more research is in order next month.

May 15, 1856 was the day L. Frank Baum was born.

How could I forget the inventor of Oz?

Pay no attention to the woman behind the notebook.
