Anyone else doing Script Frenzy?

I was very frustrated the year I did it, mostly due to computer problems.

I'm thinking of doing it again this April, because five plays have been commissioned over the next few months, and I need to sit down and get them done. Two are due this month, but that leaves three more in the mix.

Anyone else here giving it a whirl this year?

When did this all start? It's a great idea! Of course, since it comes from the people who came up with National Novel Writing Month, it takes place in a 30-day month. ;-)

I tried writing a script years ago. Without script-writing software, I was spending more time formatting than creating. Needless to say, I gave up. If the urge ever strikes again, I'll ask you about software.

My deadlines changed as of yesterday, so I'm not under the pressure for the scripts that I was, and therefore won't do ScriptFrenzy again this year, and will, instead, focus on other deadlined projects.

Judy, I've found all scriptwriting software completely useless. I format as I write -- the center and tab keys are a beautiful thing - -and it's much faster and more versatile.

I hope the release of pressure for your scripts is a good thing. Bet it feels good to have time to devote to other deadlines.

Yes, tabs and the center format can be our best friends at times. Doubt I'll be working on any scripts in the near future, though, unless I can bring some drama and tension into a recipe. (Will she forget the baking powder? How many times will the oven rack touch her hand or forearm?)
