Update on my pup and me, been a few weeks, I missed ya'll!

Hey guys, I've been crazy busy at work recently and haven't been able to get on here to post or read for almost 2 weeks. For those of you who read and are following the old posts about my dog's heart condition, here's the news: I took her to a vet cardiologist for an ultrasound, and it was determined that she has congenital heart disease (A PDA) and it can be fixed through surgery or a special procedure done up at Texas A&M (3 hours away). Both are about the same cost ($1200-$2000). My mom is loaning me some money, and I am having the procedure done this coming Wednesday at A&M. It will take a while for her to recover afterwards, but when she does, she should have a normal life expectancy. A lot of people think I'm nuts for spending so much on her, but I really truly love my puppy, and I want her to be with me for as long as possible. In other news, my weight loss has gone completely down hill. Due to "plumbing" problems, I have no control over my appetite, and I don't know what to do. I almost get sick if I don't eat when I'm hungry, the pangs are so bad, but they're happening so much more now, and my hormones just can't seem to get regulated. I'm constantly on my period. I have an OB/GYN apppointment Feb 11th. I'm hoping that they can put me on birth control or some kind of hormone treatment that will help me, because I'm truly getting scared. I can deal with how heavy I am as long as I know I'm in control, but when I lose control, it's really scary and I visualize a story being printed one day down the road about them having to bust down a wall in my house to get me out and to the hospital. I have a good plan to follow when I'm in control, but right now, I feel helpless, and my scale is creeping back up- 7 pounds in the past month from the 20 I initally lost- not good. Anybody got any suggestions? Thanks in advance, I truly missed you guys. Danielle
