We are cookin' here in Colorado. 101 degrees in our neck of the woods...phew! I've got all the windows open and the fans blowing so I can trap some cool air in for the day.
I think I'll go to the gym and get a full body workout in. I've been putting off way too many weight training sessions. I may or may not do cardio today...just not sure.
15 minute project will be to write some letters.
What's your workout and what's your 15 minute project for the day?

Calling for some rain and storms here today. Since it is just the little guy and I, and I can't leave him alone here, I'll be hitting the basement in a minute to get on the treadmill, do some ab work and hit the weights. I am so off my workout schedule! Today is really supposed to be just cardio, but I feel the need to crank up some abs and upper body. I will get back on my schedule starting Monday. We're picking up the new Smith Weight machine (brand name, not surname!) tonight. Not sure when we'll get it set up, but I'm anxious to start working out on it. Last night DH and I went to Best Buy. He picked up a new Pioneer sound system for the Jeep...I picked up the soundtrack from Saturday Night Fever. I love the music from that movie! Told DH that I will now have to purchase the DVD...although I can do all of the dances by heart. So, I'm cranking up SNF in the CD player for my workout today...
My 15 minute project will be to clean up the clutter in the dining room.
Hugs!
Sassy<-wishing she had more time to post during the week.
The hospice nurse will be out this afternoon for her weekly visit with Jeremy, so I'm getting an early workout this am.
I'm doing my Kathy Ireland 30min. low impact aerobic and 20min lower body meltdown. I'll probably do some extra abs/back work later.
For my 15 minute project I'm going to help Andrew clean his room so we can make a Thomas track.
It's hot and humid here in NE FL, I would be a blob if it weren't for air conditioning. Hope you can have a cool and comfortable day!

Have a great day everyone!!

So, my workout today is:
60 minutes "Slow burn" walk/run in MAP AND 15-20 minutes upper-body weights.
15 min. warm-up
30 min walk/run
15 min. cool-down
Yesterday I drank 7 glasses of water and felt kind of waterlogged so I'll stick to 7 glasses for a while.
I ended up skipping the workout yesterday and got busy around the house instead sorting out papers and putting stuff in recycling, etc., so today I have to have to. I think I'm at the point where I need a kick start again. Any good ideas?
Had a lovely workout last night. Went to the gloriously springy and soft-floored south center and did two classes in a row. My legs feel good this morning. It's really amazing how much difference that padding on the floor makes. Looks like I will be headed south from now on...well, except on sundays for the body sculpting class at the north center. It's totally low impact.
Today I'm headed out for weight training and maybe cardio. I can't decide.
15 minute project? Get this report done so I don't have to look at it anymore.

15 minute task - a whole bunch of little ones strung together.
We have a break from the humidity today - may take a walk at lunchtime, if work schedule permits.
Have a great day, everyone!

I just read your post in the section down below and wanted to add my belated welcome. You really do have your hands full, and I commend you for doing so well on your weight loss.
I've been into Pilates for a few years and was a community leader on the Pilates Board. I still post over there pretty regularly. I feel there are better Pilates videos for less money than Mari Winsor's. She just markets so well that they're selling incredibly well. I have heard of people getting injured (mostly backs), because she moves people into moves that are too advanced too soon and doesn't explain things as thoroughly as she should. In my opinion, Classical Pilates puts out the best mat and apparatus videos I've seen. If you'd like to check out their web site, it's at www.classicalpilates.net. My favorite book is Alycea Ungaro's "The Pilates Body," but Brooke Siler's book is also excellent.
I'm in NE Florida too, Jacksonville to be exact. Where are you located? Hope to hear from you regularly and get to know you.

Feeling really good today! So good in fact, that I went and had my blood sucked for the cholesterol tests that I've been putting off! What will be, will be!
Today's workout....stretching and for cardio I'll walk the boys over to the park this afternoon.
Today's 15 minute projects...
1. I will finish up all the "stuff" in my mending basket
We've got a ridge of high pressure moving in here which means sunny and warm for the next few days.....they're callin' for temps in the 30C range tommorrow (about 85-90).
Have a great one ladies!
Shar
Just wondering......hope you didn't hurt yourself too badly. And Phyllis - hope the scrapes and bumps from that hiking/falling haven't set you back....
