OK...what's wrong with this picture. DH has the day off and is leaving for a tournament later today. I'm up early to make sandwiches for him before I leave and he's sleeping?

Oh well...I don't know what I'll do for a workout today. I've been pretty bad about getting the workouts planned and then getting them done before the heat sets in. My 15 minute project will probably be to straighten up the mess that I'll probably see in the house after dh has left.

Lori...hope your day starts off better today.

1. Watcha doin today?

2. Whats your 15 minute project?

3. Any big weekend plans?

Have a super day!

My workouts haven't materialized as planned this week either. Had some house cleaning to do ahead of playgroup, and having my car die on me yesterday interfered with the time I thought I'd have to do UB/abs between cheer camp and playgroup. This morning, a friend is picking us up for cheer camp - final day and the girls have a little show beginning at 10:30, so I'll hang out until the show.

We were going to be going to MIL's this weekend, but that depends on the status of my car. Might be staying here. I think I'll backup the computer (more than 15 minutes), ahead of upgrading to Netscape 7.1. I'll get the suitcases down in case we do end up going to MIL's.

Sometime today I'd like to get in the Body Sculpt tape and abs work, but given that I can't come back after dropping DD off and I have to make time to pack (maybe), not sure how the day's going to shake out.

Sleepy today. Tons of severe storms rolled through our area last night. And then I woke up early on top of it and knew if I just didn't get up, I'd go back to sleep and be exhausted the rest of the day. Heading down to the basement in a minute for a quick workout and then up to church to work until 1:00. New mattresses are being delivered between 1-4. I don't understand why they can't give me a shorter delivery timeframe.

Anyway, I may not be able to workout since the Smith machine is spread out all over the basement. I haven't been down there today to see what disaster DH left for me.

Tonight I'm going out with two other friends. One of whom turned 40 yesterday so we'll be celebrating her birthday. Oldest two darlings come home tomorrow. They've been gone all week working with Habitat for Humanity. Sounds like they have worked hard and had a great time, too. Tomorrow afternoon we're going to a big Sunday School picnic at a friend's house. Other than that, I think it's going to be a pretty quiet weekend.

Hugs, ladies!

Sassy

Starting my day off with a sour note....I have to go for my mammo this morning...YUCK! I'll be walking to and from to that. Once I'm done there I think I'm going to head out on another bike ride. It looks calmer then last night. Boy, that ride was really wicked with the strong winds. Then this afternoon I will work on my 15 min. project that will probably last all afternoon. I'm going to shampoo our sectional couch. It really needs it bad. Then I'll make some dinner for dh and dd, then go for a 2 mile powerwalk and then have a nice cool strawberry Arbor Mist wine blender...yum yum! Have a great day everyone!

Good morning!

Woke up real early without the anticipated caffeine hangover or headache. Did the 1/2 hour on treadmill I said I'd do yesterday this morning. Will do another 1/2 hour tread/bike and full weights/abs work tonight.

Big weekend plans? Don't know yet. Hanging in the air is a potential visit by my 19-yr-old niece and her best friend. If they come by tomorrow, we'll get out of the house and do girl stuff and pick up DH for dinner out. If they don't and it doesn't rain, DH and I could head south to Cape Cod or north to NH for the day.

15-minute task - take a deep breath and figure out exactly how much I accomplished at work this week to feel good about my job performance again. I've allowed a pompous simpering little jacka## to get the better of my confidence and allowed myself to feel like I have little to offer here as a result. I'd like to see him finish a job - he can't manage his way out of a paper bag without his minions doing his bidding. I don't behave like one of them, so he doesn't know what to do with me. What makes me feel better about it is that I'm not the only one he rubs the wrong way - his reputation for pomposity precedes him. Enuf said about that.

Have a great day, everyone! Rain has arrived, and it's not pretty....

What a wonderful project for your children to be involved in!! Great experience for them and such a help to others. A neighbor is head of Habijax, which is a Jacksonville version of Habitat for Humanity, and they do such terrific things for people. I know you must be proud of them.

We had big storms yesterday afternoon and night, so I didn't get to mow. I'll do that today. We really did need the water on the lawns, etc.

I have a dozen more invitations to address and write and have to go have more color maps printed, so I can get them mailed out. That will take more than 15 minutes. It's already hot and muggy. The windows are fogged up (again) because the humidity is so high. Par for the course at this time of year.

TGIF!!! Our plans are to be at the beach as much as possible. Maybe that storm in the Gulf will send some waves our way.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

I wouldn't let myself come to the board til I did my weights! They are done, thank goodness.Heading back to CL to do some work, then coming in to clean up and have lunch with a friend. This is a girl I don't know really well but she is so sweet.Sometimes I'm alittle nervous around her because she is so nice and I have to keep reminding myself to behave and be nice. Then I'm back home to mow the yard and do time in chickenville.

15 min project should probably be paying some bills.

No plans for the weekend. Hope to get in a walk with sister.

TGIF is right, although I have to work 8 hrs. tomorrow too. I woke up late this a.m. (probably due to being worn out from housecleaning during every spare minute)! Still a lingering sore throat, but stomach is better & AF is acting bored with me so she'll head out soon. I am pretty run down these days from working so many hours and not getting in my workouts - SO . . . I've got to get back with the program! My doctor's apptmt. isn't until Aug. 5 so I am going to try not to worry about anything until then.

It's a wonder I haven't gained any weight back since I haven't been keeping up the workouts religiously. I did manage to get a healthy dose of attention this a.m. at McDonalds (sometimes a girl just wants an Egg McMuffin!) when a guy kept staring at me & casually mentioned to his friend "gosh, she's pretty". Boy, that made my day! It's funny, though, I must be a magnet for the long haired men. This guy looked to be in his 30's with hair down to his lower back! He was cute, but I'm just too old fashioned for that now. I worked with a guy when I was very young who wrote poetry to me - he had long hair & looked like Al Pacino. He was a pothead, though, so not my type even back then! If I could only attract a guy more my age . . .

Well that's my ramble for today about "Feelin' Fabulous on Friday". If I can manage a 15 min. project, it will be to hem some pants. If I can manage to get up early tomorrow, I will get in a run! Sunday is a free day for me from work so I plan to go to my friend's church with her - that will be a trip! I may need a sedative soon. Tweety's Arbor Mist Wine thingies sound good - I've been wondering about those.

I hope everyone has a very fabulous Friday.

1. UB/LB abs, 30 or 40 minute bike to nowhere.

2. My 15 minute project is depressing, so I won't go into detail. Could use some prayers for strength and courage, though.

3. My parents and my mothers sister are coming to visit tomorrow. I haven't seen Aunt Bonnie in years. She is one of my heros. She took care of my grandmother at home during her fight with cancer. Last year she was told she has diabetes and has lost 40lbs. She is just a very strong, optomistic woman that I try to model myself after. We're going shopping - I need some smaller pants!!!!

1. Today is a beach day for us. I want to get weights and cardio in too.

2. Fifteen minute project....repot my banana plant. It was a little shoot that my dd gave me and it plodded along for a bit, then I moved it into my bedroom and it's gone beserk. It gets a new leaf every week and is *way* to big for it's itty bitty pot!

3. Weekend Plans...nothing planned yet. But I have a feeling we'll be doing some outside family stuff. Maybe head out to Witty's Beach on Sunday.

Have a wonderful day everyone. Hugs for those of you who's day hasn't started out to well.
