Good morning everyone-

I've been rolling around the bed for a couple of hours so I just decided to get up. We had a little rain last night which was great to cool down here. Just wish it would cool down for longer. The heat is making a serious dent in my hiking schedule to do Pikes Peak in August. I may have to put it off a month. Phyllis just doesn't do heat well.

1. What do you have scheduled for your workout today?

2. What's your 15 minute project?

3. Reminder...Chat at 9 p.m. ET

Have an attitude of gratitude today!

Phyllis

=====Inspirational Daily Word=====

Ephesians 6

The Armor of God

10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

My niece and her family should be here some time this morning to drop off her dog to stay with us and then to head for their hotel. I imagine they'll need some sleep, since they drove all night, so the kids would sleep more. Can't wait to see them.

I have floors to scrub and work to get Rob's old room "guest ready" for when my upline gets here Friday. This is going to be one crazy weekend!

The sun is out today. The tropical storm is moving westward, so we're seeing more sun. Kat, sure hope it isn't doing any damage where you are.

This a.m., I clean up around here as a home inspector comes early tomorrow a.m. so no workout. 15 min. project is the cleaning.

Had a nice visit with my investment advisor - he gave some pointers for my situation. Now I'm the one that has to take the actions to better my financial status (reducing debt & saving more). Did start up my 401K with an American Fund - conservative.

Have to work 11 total nights & weekends before my next day off from Dillard's. Where's my Wonder Woman getup? DS has a fishing trip planned for that day off. Oh boy . . .

Have a nice day, all.

Mornin'All

The plan was to get out the door for a 3+mile walk-reality shutting off the alarm and getting up 1/2 hour later-but did get in my 3 mile walk tape so all was not lost.

As for a 15 minute project-think I'll be putting together some menu ideas for next week and doing some review of the contents of the pantry.

Enjoy the day!

You sound like my DH this morning. He was in and out of bed several times last night and just could not get to sleep. Poor baby. I agree with you about the heat. Can't get out to ride my bike for fear of fainting on the side of the road. I don't do heat very well either.

Today is body sculpting and maybe an aerobics class. I dunno. Did two classes last night and I'm feeling it today! My Jazz instructor forgot all about the impy skimpy dress party we were supposed to have. Luckily, I brought an alternate outfit along just in case. I'm psycho like that sometimes.

My 15-minute project today is to check all the little trash cans I have at home. Noticed the living room container is a little full this morning, so I'll be off to check them all this evening.

If I can get DH away from his game for an hour and I don't stay for aerobics after body sculpting, I'll be at chat.

Have a super-duper day!

Woke up feeling out of sorts. Not a bad mood or anything but not organized or focused enough to accomplish much today.Pretty sure it's my body reacting to no chips or chocolate yesterday!!!Off to work in Cl for awhile, meeting my sister later for lunch.Need to do weights and would like to run sometime.

Very worried about my buddy, my dog Sheba. She is old and has been having problems lately.Haven't been able to get her to eat much since Sunday.Even tried her favorite cookie last night and she tried to eat but couldn't.Will have to take her to the vet.She is so much more than just a dog to me.

Hope you guys are all well and the day is good to you.

I've been working on creating my ivillage website. I don't have any new pictures of myself so I'm trying to decide between the young me or the older chunkier me. Andrew wants me to help him build Bionicles (Lego creatures). I'm in the mood to bake *something*.

For my work out I'll do one of my cardio video's, LB and abs.

I must have forgotten that your dog's name is Sheba also. I know what you mean about being so much more than just a friend. I was thinking about my Sheba yesterday the same way and I've only had her for 2 years.

Hope your buddy starts feeling better.

Good morning!

Tread and bike for 1/2 total, and LB/abs work tonight right after work; should be done by 7:00-7:15, followed by shower and dinner immediately after - DH is in charge of salmon on the grill (maybe I should tell him he's in charge....), my job is the broccoli. I'm going to try broiling some nectarines and seeing what happens.

15-minute task - clean the bathroom and lots o'laundry while I'm working out.

I bought "Kate Remembered" yesterday while I was waiting to catch a late train home. I'll finish it by bedtime tonight. A gentle, loving memoir by an author who makes no bones about his friendship with her and no pretense about being objective. She was truly unique.

Have a great day, everyone...

Hugs, Patty! Hope your little Sheba gets better! What is it about a dog named "Sheba"! Growing up in Florida, we had a cute little thing named Sheba. That was the best dog I've ever had! I was heartbroken when she passed on. You and Phyllis need to write a book about your Sheba's. Loved that movie about the dog named Skip.

Hope the vet gives you some good advice about your Sheba.

Love Katharine Hepburn! Tell us what you think of that book, Donna. I want to buy all of her movies - she was my favorite actress!
