getting t-shirts and/or sweatshirts done for our 2004 get together?
If you would like that...have an idea for logo/theme/mission statement?
If we get them, what would be your favorite color (we wanna match don't we)?
Who the heck has the talent to create these babies?
Screenprint or embroidered?
Any other ideas?

I don't know what it costs for embroidery. Vinyl letters are a lot cheaper, but they shrivel and crack. If we just want them for a short time and don't need a picture of any kind, that's the least expensive route.
I like lots of colors, but dark ones fade, and white is most versatile. Whatever the group wants is fine with me.

Just curious as to how you arrange something like this.
BTW Phyllis - thank you for the compliment and I have to give it right back, you are just striking!! And your resume, I had NO idea what I was in for! I wish I lived near-by, I would certainly hire you in a heartbeat!
2. Red. And you can go to cafepress and they'll make your tshirts for you.

Creative - I can follow patterns but I'm not good at designing things on my own, and particularly lousy at creating from scratch. The clipart on my websites are lifted, and if needed, altered. I enjoy humor and poking fun at even my own interests. I've got an idea and some sites to visit to get ideas, so I'll try to come up with a few things.
Embroidered vs. Screen - Strong vote for screen print. Embroidered stuff doesn't shrink at the same rate a t-shirt does, and they embroidery will pucker and curl after the first wash/dry. Even if you try to be careful and NOT throw an embroidered item into the dryer, eventually you accidentally do it.

As for the color, I agree that dark colors are too, well, dark. Too hot, they fade and everything I own is either black or blue...or pink. Anyway, a fun and funky red would be fine by me. I don't look that great in red, but what the heck? Maybe we could consider everyone picking their own color, or is that more expensive? How about a subdued tie-dyed look? Just throwing out ideas.
As for any text on the shirt, I like Pier One's anniversary slogan "Still fun at 40." Do we want to include our screen names? Wait...do I want to walk around in an unfamiliar state wearing a shirt that says "Bootywhompus"? I dunno about that....
