Good Monday morning-

The weekend is over and its back to "move it out Monday." I trust you had a good weekend, yes?! We got the garage straightened up, shelves up, etc. I can now open my car door without fear of banging up my car.

I feel like I do to do something different cardio wise so...think I'll go to the gym and hit the eliptical trainer and do some weights. Later this morning I'll plan out my week for cleaning house, workouts, food, etc. I'm planning on a very successful week.

1. What's the workout for today?

2. What's your 15 minute project?

3. Send up a prayer for someone.

Have a great and productive day!

My "move it out Monday" workout will be cardio after work tonight. Unless it is super hot. Then I'll lift weights indoors. But it will be some sort of workout today for sure.

My 15 minute project is going to take a bit more than 15 minutes but I will write a few thank you's that I need to get written. Then I'll get them ready to mail out tomorrow.

Here's to a great week for all of us!!

Just spent the whole day yesterday with family and I'm not so sure I'm up for this next week. This Saturday we take our family vacation where my parents, siblings, and their kids all stay in cabins at the lake. We've been doing this for almost 10 years and its alot of fun. But this past weekend was really hard. My mom and I just don't connect and no matter how hard I try she DOESN'T! For years I've known she cares more for my dh then she does me. Get this...shes introducing us to someone on Sat. night, she gets to my dh and says "This is our son in law, Rich and this is his wife, Lisa"!!!!! Can you believe it! Then we go over to their house yesterday after the parade and she just continues to do things that are so hurtful. I know what you're thinking, I should talk with her. Well, you really have to know my mother....there is no talking to her. If you say something that she doesn't agree with, isn't her way, or is against her in any way, she gets VERY defensive, excited, and MAD! I have grown to really love and care for my father and my feelings for mom are just.....not there. I cried to my dd last night about it and she was so comforting. So wish me luck next week. I will do my best to stand tall and not let her get me down.

Ok, not such a hot weekend. Spent most of it in bed coughing my lungs up. No visit with Alex either. Bummed me out.

My workout for today is to make it successfully through the workday and home before I collapse. This cold is hitting me really hard, so I think I'd better wait until tomorrow before I decide to workout.

My 15 minute project: I think I can muster the strength to sort through my dresser drawers and get rid of some old stuff.

I send up a prayer for Brendan Gonzalez. A 4 year old boy missing since January. His father has confessed to killing the child, but no body has been found yet. 100's of volunteers have been searching the Sarpy county landfill for his body for weeks now. I'm hoping they find him soon and his poor mother can get some closure.

Poor Tweety. I'm sorry your mom has to be so tough to deal with. My first instinct was to tell you to talk with her, but you know better than I. Nurture your relationship with your father. Maybe talk to him about it. He may have some clues for you.

Good luck and try to enjoy your vacation.

Good morning!

Muggy day here - sunny right now, but rain forecast for this afternoon through Wednesday night. One big bad hair week.

Workout will be cardio, UB and LB work - I did cardio only Sunday evening, and playing keep-away with my niece and nephew pretty much did my legs and back in. I didn't manage even a fair stretch Sunday, so my back will pay for it dearly today.

Have a great day, everyone!

Tweety - I'm so sorry to hear how hurt you are feeling over your mom's attitude toward you. I can't imagine what you go through when she speaks about you or to you so off-handedly, but my thoughts are with you to be strong in the face of it. I'm grateful that my mom and I are pretty tight, but I've been missing my dad terribly the last few weeks. Have you heard Luther Vandross's song "Dance with My Father?" I've been able to listen to it once - the second time drove me to tears. Wish he were here right now! Treasure your relationship with your father.

Hugs,

1. What's the workout for today? Just got up and I think I will run (drive)over to Curves this morning. We have rain here, so the walk is out!

2. What's your 15 minute project? LOL, now that my company has left I need to straighten out the entire house. I am batch number 5 since last night trying to catch up on sheets, and towels. So my 15 minutes will be to sit on my patio with some lemonade and a magazine!

3. Send up a prayer for someone. My prayer is for my hubby. He has a lot on his shoulders and sometimes it seems unfair. I pray that he can relax more and have some of the pressure taken off him, with his day flowing smoother than normal.

tweety, JMO here. I am so sorry about your relationship with your mom. I am very fortunate to have a wonderful and loving one with my mom and mother-in-law. I think you need to focus on your relationship with you dad and tell him. Men can be so blind, maybe he has no clue what you mom says or does. Could he say something to her? If not maybe time to take a step back from the "family", would she get the hint? Have you straight out told her you are upset. Not talk, and beat around the bush. Just said mom you are mean to mean and I insist you tell me why. Would she open up and be honest? Please know I believe we all are in your corner and thinking about you. It sounds like you have a wonderful relationship with your dd and that my friend is way more important and maybe another way to focus your love. Stay strong and know we are here for you. Maybe you should bow out of the family vacation this time, for your own sake.

Deb

PS: XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO
