Sorry I have been absent for so long. Life has been so wild and crazy. I don't even have time for fun computer time, let alone exercise. But today that has changed. All 3 of the darlings are out of town this week. DH goes out of town Wednesday and Thursday. The work boss is out of town until Wednesday evening. Life is good and it's nice to be on my own schedule and not everyone else's this week. So, I have my workout clothes on. I'm hitting the cardio, abs, shoulders & chest today.
Top 3:
1. Spent time with my grandmother this past weekend and helped to cheer her up a bit, as well as the ladies she hangs out with at the assisted living facility. Actually our youngest brightened their day, I was just the means for getting him there. Being in there was a real eye-opener. It is a great facility, thankfully.
2. Helped out at the swim meet last night, even though none of our darlings were swimming. Glad I did. My help was really needed and appreciated.
3. Had some nice quality time with DH last night. We haven't seen much of each other lately and when we do, it's usually been to switch vehicles or kids or compare our busy schedules.
15 minute project:
I have so many and I'm looking forward to working on them this week without any kids around!
Have a great day. I've missed you all!
Hugs.

1. DS is healthy and he's grown alot this year. Last year I bought him 12's and this year he is in 16's! He also reads alot - so proud of him for that, as I love to read too.
His best friend's mom told me that he could come over any time as she and her husband just love Danny. She said I have done a good job raising him - that made me feel good. This is the lady I felt had been unfair to me in the past, so hopefully, relations with her will not be so strained.
2. I began a retirement account with my company's plan - they will match funds. My financial representative, who was extremely nice, gave me some pointers on my financial situation. I've already taken action on one item, so far.
3. I haven't gained any weight, even though I haven't been eating wonderfully (since 4th of July!), so now I have new resolve to maintain. Working alot of hours keeps me stressed, but I won't let that spill over to my health.
15 min. project - pay some bills and go to grocery store for milk & a few other things.
Workout - 3 mile run and abs. Still feel bad, but hoping these "animal fattening" (ugh)antibiotics will kick in soon.
Have a nice day everyone.
I'm so busy this week with getting things ready for vacation. Didn't get in a workout yesterday so today I'm going to try to get in my weights, lunges, squats, and abs workouts. If time permits I'll get in a run also.
My three positives are 1) smile 2) baby steps 3) my wonderful friends here on this board that I care so much about!
Enjoy your time this week.
Top 3 positives:
1. I actually got my dresser sorted through last night! Two big bags of stuff off to the Good Will.
2. Had my mid-year review yesterday. My supervisor didn't have a single bad thing to say. Hope that trend continues!
3. I've learned the value of those contrary days of rest that are supposed to be included in my workout program.
Workout:
Depending on how this cough is doing after work and how tired I feel, I may go to Jazz tonight. After 5 days off, I think I need to go if I can.
15-minute project:
I wonder if I can get the bedroom closet straightened up in 15 minutes...probably not, but I can make a dent in it.
Have a super day.

15 minute project(s): Gotta mail some eBay packages! I'm selling off my DD's cloth diapers in lots of 4-6. My auctions are going well, much better than selling cloth diapers via the consignment shops. I've met maybe 1 or 2 cloth diaper users locally - folks around here just don't use them. Another 15-min project is to pick up a b'day present for MIL. What she wants is a church hymnal, hopefully I can pick an appropriate one up for her at the Christian bookstore at the mall.
Top 3: 1-My car is back and running (though back to her old occasional sputtering, so apparently that had nothing to do with the distributor), but we're making inroads into getting a new family vehicle. Will probably have one in September. 2-DD is *really* interested in reading lately again. The neighbor girl, age 7, lent us an American Girl book with chapters in it. We read through 3 chapters yesterday, and Allison is reading parts of it on her own. Keep in mind, Allison won't be 5 until November! 3-Upcoming family vacation at MIL's for a week, we're all looking forward to it. BIL and his wife and daughter (she's 13) will be there as well.

Workout: Cardio and UB, and stretching.
Fifteen minute project: Dusting - After death and taxes, dust is the third sure thing.
Have a great day, everyone!

1. Top 3 positive post:
My mom gets top ranks. My mom who I have contact with everyday really is wonderful and supportive of my efforts. She joined the Curves about 2 weeks after I did and she calls me each time to see if I want to join her. Next would be hubby, he tries so hard. With everything. With the business, to the kids racing, and the house. Unfortunatly I seem to fall through the cracks but its not on purpose. He has alot going on and he tries so hard to please everyone. I just need to be patient. Last my home. We moved here in Dec. against my moaning. But everyone was right, this house is us. It looks like a B&B, and it is warm and inviting. I am lucky we own it and it has given the 3 kids their own space.
2. Workout: Good old mom. She has my niece today but it is not stopping her. Yesterday she asked my Katie if she would come to Curves with us and "babysit" my neice(who is 5),so that her and I could still work out. So its over to Curves this morning about 11.
3. Fifteen minute project: I have so many but the most important is money. I need to run and make a bake deposit.
There ya go.

1. A post awhile back about reaching out to friends you haven't been in touch with has been such a cool deal for me. I did several calls and reconnecting makes me feel soooo good! Seeing one this Thurs (with her hubby) that I haven't seen for a year, another lives in Wyoming where we will be visiting in September--making plans to see her, another friend lives in Austin where we will be having a 2004 Jazzercise convention next year so I'll see her, another hopefully will be coming out for the class reunion. We're all busy yes--and it takes time to finally connect but it's so worth it.
2. Again---my friends mean so much to me and the fact that they're responsible women and I can count on them and they can count on me (as in last Fri) means so much. My other friend who I work with on auctions mentioned last night how bad she felt having to be in a wedding the night of our event but how comfortable and happy she was that the rest of us were there and she didn't have to worry. It's a good feeling, yes!
3. So thankful for McKenna's good health. Got to hear her cry a few times this week :o) a good sign. She's enjoying the breast feeding process, the naps, and getting constant clean diapers LOL.
I'm going to call this morning to see how things are going. Eric and I sent her her first piece of fine jewelry--want to see if she likes it. 14k gold cross for her upcoming blessing. Hopefully Erin will let her wear a necklace!
This morning at 8am I'll have my personal training session, followed by an hour of Jazzercise. I still want to do the shoes, and I have a lot of phone calls to make. This afternoon we'll be having an auction meeting at Heart offices..so it's over the bridge.
Bridge is big news here, they're bringing on the new caissons..whooppeee!

Glad to hear McKenna is doing well. Erin is also feeling better, I hope?
