Its a good news, bad news thing

remember how I was talking about retiring and moving to Tulsa, OK in 12/04? It ain't happenin'. Johnny planned on surprising me and telling me that he was being presented an award and wanted me to come. What he was going to do is have me pin his rank on him.
We saw a guy at the DMV the other day and he told Johnny congratulations. I asked what it was about and he brushed it off. All the sudden several of his Army buddies that he keeps in contact with have been calling. I got home from hiking and there was a message saying "congratulations for making the list." :-o I called him at work and badgered him so he finally had to tell me.
The bad part of this is that I have to keep starting all over again. I'm sure he'll stay in the Army until they kick his rear out. This is a tough business to keep starting over and over....oh well...life goes on. It could be a wonderful adventure.

The best thing is that you can take a computer anywhere and I don't have to deal with losing a buddy.Yeah, yeah I know it's not always about me!!!!

Part of me envies you. I always maintained that I person should move every 5 years at least just to clean out all of the old junk! LOL
But on the other side of the coin, my heart goes out to you. I can't imagine having to start your business all over again and leaving all of the contacts you have made.
As someone said, at least you have your computer and we can all keep in touch.
