T-shirt ideas...

One of the things I love to do is mess with clipart, especially for websites. As soon as we started talking T-shirts for our get-together, I started searching - both online and through my Print Artist library. Lori's DH will be happy to design a shirt for us, but she said we still need to decide what we want on it. Maybe using these to guide us can give him an idea of what we're aiming for on the final design. (The final design, of course, would be his baby!)

I ran these by Phyllis, and a good point she brought out was that the various "Sketches" on the first row, in being one color, would probably be less expensive. Something to keep in mind. Any design with a diamond or starlike background could easily be redone without. Also, you'll notice I played with various colors. I know some of you don't like pastels, but the bolder colors (like the red we were considering) tend to overwhelm anything on the shirt.

Anyway, here's the link: http://pages.ivillage.com/hottie_fitmom/tshirt/ideas.html

Choose a handful of favorites and share them with the rest of us. If you don't like any of them or want me to take a hike, say so ;^)! I'm not a designer and I certainly won't be hurt. Even if we don't choose any of these as a design idea, *I* still had fun finding them and putting them together!

Didn't want to taint the post or website with which ones I like, so I'll share here...

Aerobic March - lady is from our generation!

Trio sketch - maybe purple sketches on light aqua, or dark blue or black on white

Meditation

Aerobic Knee Lift - either white or navy, though the navy is nicely different

Exercise Machine - funny IMO

I like the Running Pro, too, but being copyright, we wouldn't be able to modify it.

I like "weights confident" and the "stylized sketch". No hippos! Cute, but...

Nice picks, Cussette!

Cussette,

I think you have done a great job. I especially like the first clipart of the trio of women. The simple lines of the picture would not overwhelm a t-shirt and the motto would stand out. For a motto I also think that being over 40 should be a focal point. We've earned these years!

I haven't been able to post much lately but I'm thrilled about all of us getting to meet!

I like your 'designs'. In fact, the only one I object to is the hippo one. Any of those would be great. I suspect that Jeff will like working with the more abstract, but then again, he might come up with something on his own. Who knows?

The only problem I would have with any of these is the fact that they are all completely fitness oriented. I know that we are getting fit in our 40's and beyond, but lately I've come to learn the value of balance in my life. I really think that whatever design we choose should also reflect the need for balance to have a truely 'fit' life. Maybe we could put the same image on the front and then everyone have something individual put on the back. Something that we identify with as a person.

Just throwing out the ideas.

I like the Trio Sketch, but I think I like the Stretch Sketch even more. It's very simple but effective. Sometimes less is more! I agree no hippos!

I kind of like the aerobic lunge (even though I'm not into aerobics), because the woman looks fit and could be doing a number of different types of exercise.

I like "weights confidence","trio sketch" and "freeweight sketch".I also like Running group but that might be too much with logo also.I also had the same thoughts as Rhonda about"aerobic lunge".

I loved what Booty posted about balance. No idea what I would put on my shirt though!!

What? Y'all don't like my girlfriend The Hippo?! LOL! I think I mentioned a few days ago when we first started talking about this that I like humor, and that includes poking fun at things, even those that I enjoy. Naw, I didn't figure it would fly for a shirt for our group, but liked her enough to share her. She has some good qualities: she's a friendly gal, *quite* happy with who she is, accepts her body type, and is exercising because it's for health. She's actually an animated GIF who does arm lifts, and works well for websites.

I really like the trio sketch. They could be dancing, they could be doing aerobics, they could be running, they could be celebrating. The main thing is: they're active together. And that seems to be what this group is about for me - actively pursuing healthy lifestyles together - not just working out, but sharing triumphs as well as sorrows. The only clipart on the ideas site that shows that for me is the trio.

FWIW - I *hate* lunges. And I really hope the "lunge" doesn't win... But, I realize that's just me... ;-)
