Good morning-

Its cooled down here a little (90's) so I'm taking clients for a hike this morning. Actually this is a good week for me. I'm taking clients hiking Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. That outta be a great workout for everyone.

For my 15 minute project, I'm meeting with someone that's trying to get a business off the ground. I'm helping her set up a marketing plan.

I've made it 2 weeks on staying with the eating plan...a miracle for me. Tomorrow I'll get on the scales and see if I have lost more weight. Vacation is coming up in 2 weeks and I'm going to have to look for a bathing suit....yikes!

What's in your plan for the day?

Make it a good day!

=====Daily Inspirational Word=====

In Pursuit of Glory

Colossians 2:6-10

When we become Christ followers, our view of life should change. No longer are we the center of our world; instead, Christ is. (Galatians 2:20) It is essential that we switch our thinking to a Christian worldview because what we believe dictates how we behave. Many of us have a patchwork-quilt-type of worldview, where we have taken some truths from Scripture, some from our upbringing, and some from our culture to determine what we believe. We don’t even realize we have done this.

As believers, we are to search Scripture to find answers for all of life’s questions. Where did I come from? (Genesis 1) What happens when I die? (John 14) How do I explain human behavior? (Romans 3) How can I determine right from wrong? (2 Timothy 3:16) What is the purpose of man? (Isaiah 43:7) If we have biblical answers—a Christian worldview—we will think and behave in ways that best glorify God.

The most vital question is, What is important to God? From the Bible, we learn that all of nature declares the glory of God, that the chief aim of man is to glorify God, and that Jesus’ mission on earth revealed God’s glory. So what matters most to God is His glory.

Does that surprise you? We fall into thinking the world is about us and that God’s work has to do with our needs, wants, and pleasure. But the truth is that life is all about God and glorifying Him. Let us humbly bow before Him, change our thinking, and join Him in the pursuit of His glory. —CW

Good Morning Ladies.

Flo is continuing to knock on the door and bring her baggage in, but refuses to stretch out on the couch. I can't wait until she plops down and stays a few days so I can see an end in sight.

Getting into my workout clothes. Hitting the treadmill (hot and humid here already). Then abs, shoulders and chest.

Two oldest darlings are heading to the Shenandoah for tubing with the church youth. Poor little guy is stuck hanging out at the office with me today.

Love you guys.

What a great way to get a workout in, Phyllis....how long are your hikes?

Today I ABSOLUTELY HAVE GOT to start watching my eating better. I exercised last week quite well but still ate like a porker. Today it begins.

My workout will probably be a walk after work. I am pretty bad on the weight lifting this time of year because I'd rather be outside....but maybe I'll convince myself to lift.

My 15 minute project? I've been working at putting photo's into an album for DD. I'll work on that a bit more tonight.

Have a good one everyone.

It's a little cooler here as well today. Callin' for low 80's today. Your hikes sound wonderful...I'm jealous. Good luck with the shopping. I don't envy you a bit for that part.

This week will be a light week of workouts for me. I'm having some joint pain so I'm going to cut back on the Jazzercise...maybe hit a step class or two...and ride my bike if the weather is good.

Eating isn't too great, but I'm trying to get better.

My 15-minute project is cleaning the bathroom after work. If I'm feeling perky, I might just scrub the floors too.

Have a goo day.

About getting that weight lifting in...

Have you tried doing weights during the commercials while you watch TV? It's a good 3 to 4 minutes to work on one or two muscle groups. By the time a one hour show is over, I'm pretty well done. When I can't get to class, that's how I get it done.

Good morning!!!I got up feeling like working out so before I hit CL I got a 5 mile run in.

Why don't I do this every day????Oh, yeah because I'm not a morning exerciser.I start out strong on Monday and by Friday I'm a pitiful woman in a bag of chips!!

Like Sassy I'm waiting for Flo to get her butt in here. She's killing me.Putting on my concealer is like playing connnect the dots each morning thanks to the way she broke my skin out.

I'm off to see the chickens. They are callin for storms here.If it rains I have a house begging to be cleaned and if not I have a yard begging to be mowed.

Hope everyone has a Marvelous Monday!

Good morning -

I thought I posted this, but it didn't show up here. Heaven knows where it went....

Workout today will be a full one, including a 3-miler with DH outdoors after work. It's too gorgeous a day to waste looking at icky basement walls for a whole workout. I'm going to run errands at lunchtime, because it's dry outside and I won't get back to the office in need of a serious shower.

15-minute task - finish dry-mopping the hardwood floors and dusting the furniture. I can't keep up with the dust!

Have a great day, everyone!

Got in my running yesterday - 3 miles, plus 1/2 mile walking - along with abs, some arm work and leg lifts. Now that my left knee is doing better, I've got a pull in my lower calf muscles on the *right* leg. It's always something (it had been the left hamstring, not from running, prior to the knee, which surfaced 3 weeks ago after walking up the hill in MIL's neighborhood). A former coworker, a runner who was experiencing knee problems, once remarked "Just give me a peg-leg with a wheel." I always thought it a funny comment - still is, but it has more meaning ;^).

BIL and family got in last night. (Can't believe our niece is 13 - she's a very smart and thoughtful young lady, fun to be around.) Today, I was going to do my Body Sculpt with abs work, but BIL Steve talked about going walking, and MIL remembered a great walking trail nearby at a historical site. Sounded intriguing, so I think BIL, his wife, and The Cus & I will all go for a walk - I need a break from running, and I usually don't run on Monday's anyway. I'll still get abs & some UB in.

No scheduled project! Want to get swim time in with my kid and niece.

Morning, missed yesterday. Went to the track. Walked there but no idea how far we walked. Back and forth. If I ever buy myslef one of those walking thingys I would know. Anyhow, I have been very good since starting the Curves diet. Has not been easy and I so want to eat pasta but I have resisted. Today is day 5! I hope by Friday I can get on the scales at Curves and see some loss.

My goal for today is Curves this morning. I have several little things that need to get done around the house, and errands too. Its getting hot here already, supposed to be in the 90's again. I think some afternoon pool time again will be nice. Did that on Saturday and it was kind of nice. Hubby is up to his neck in work, so probley a late night again, story of my life.

Have a great Monday ladies!

Morning back at you Phyllis. Cooled down to the 90s there, huh? You call that COOL??? ackkk. We're going to hit that today and we NWerners..melt. No a/c...wah wah wah. Yippee it's Monday and Jazzercise is back in town. 4000 Jazzercisers in Vegas at the Convention Center this last week. Read where they had to evacuate them from the 2nd floor of the Convention Center because structurally they were worried about the floor shaking so much (true story). Someone said it felt like an earthquake. Jazzercise CEO Judi Missett didn't want to take chances. I wouldn't either.

So..our teacher is returning today with all new routines, yippeeee!

Today is three hours of Jazzercise planned:

One hour of circuit training followed by one hour of low impact Jazzercise with toning and a little weight work. Tonight one hour of high impact stuff!

15 min project, I still want to organize my shoes. Keep going places where I need this or that and I know I have it just can't find them:o). Hard life I know. I also need to make a lot of phone calls today--I don't hate calling people asking for things..I don't..no..no. no.. :o)

I didn't hear that! Of course, I haven't talked with anyone who was at the convention yet. I'm excited about the new routines. I hope this batch is better than the last batch. I just wasn't impressed last time around.
