I guess I don't have to wear our motto out yet huh? Johnny got to the computer before I did so I'm a little late in posting.

OK...we have 14 months to get in shape for the get together...I'm already so excited I can't believe it! Let's not wait until the last 2 months and stress about it. Let's commit to a good year. It's easy to walk a few more minutes a couple of times a week to burn more calories. Cut out desserts to only once or twice a week. Even cutting out 500 calories per week, (70) calories a day, makes a difference of 8.5 lbs we could lose before NC....now that's easy!

Have a happy, healthy day!

I dunno...I kinda like the sound of it. I doubt you could wear it out. It's one of those slogans or mottos that sticks in your head like a soda commercial. Like "Make 7 Up Yours" or "I'm A Pepper, He's A Pepper, She's A Pepper..." Well, you get the idea.

Today will be fabulous. It's friday and I'm very happy about that after the week I've had at work. Now I just hope my boss doesn't ask me to work tomorrow. I am hoping for a little time to spend with DS. He called me (!) and wants to 'hang out' this weekend.

So anyway, today is a clean the house kind of day and after last night's step class, I think I'll take it easy on the ol' ankle bones. Got a little carried away and I'm feeling it today.

As for the calorie cutting, I'm going to have to figure out how much I'm eating first I suppose. Been a little lax with my journal for a couple weeks. I'm bad.

Have a great day and an awesome weekend!

Ok, so it's back to work for me.I'm so sick of this flock of chickens!!They've been nothng but hard work and aggrivation!!!!I may personally load these up on the truck to market! Not sure about what kind of workout today.Kind of rainy today so probably something inside on the treadmill.

Can't believe it's August 1st!!It's cool and rainy here today. Last year this time we were looking at a 9 day stretch of 90 + days.Man I miss that.Except I had to listen to everyone whine about.Don't you hate when people whine about the weather....:)

Have a super duper day everyone!!!!

Good Morning,

It's Friday and I've survived my first week of work after vacation and it's payday! Three good things. I've been concentrating on healthy eating this week and evening walks to see if it helps with the fatigue thing. I haven't seen much difference with the fatigue but it does feel good to eat right. I've survived the muffins, bagels, and various assorted chocolate products in the office-just have to get through the office Friday bagel day. After work I need to make a run to the grocery store as there are grumblings that there is nothing to eat. I'm going to a friend's house this evening for a "Bath Shop At Home" party. Apparently there will be products to sample to pamper the feet and piggies! So I am looking forward to a girlie night out.

Hope everyone has a good day!

What??? Me, whine about the steamy weather???!!! Wouldn't dream of it.....Oh, you weren't talking about me, were you? Never mind....

It's rainy and muggy-cool here anyway, and once again I'm hose-less and in sandals. Thank goodness for casual Friday in the summer, but the office a-c is set on "meat locker". Brrr...

Good morning -

Workout is the big one - my 3rd this week, and I'm really looking forward to it. I'll do all the moves I did Monday night instead of leaving out a few like I did Wednesday; it'll take almost 2 hours.

Lunch today with the group from work is supposed to be in Boston's Chinatown, a potential minefield for me. But it's so crummy outside with the rain and wind, and it's about a 15-minute walk down and back, so I may turn chicken and back out.

Dinner tonight, fortunately, is going to be very light (possibly very late). DH is on his own, and I can have turkey and cheese rolled up (no bread, just the turkey and cheese rolled together) with tomatoes and raw broccoli and low-fat ranch dip. And a Skinny Cow mint ice cream sandwich for dessert.

Lori - I'm excited about your visit with your son, and really pleased that he's reached out. Hope it goes well!

I've had more than my usual dessert load since being at MIL's - that's part of visiting, LOL! But I've managed to keep exercising even though I'm voluntarily not running until my ankle/calf feels better. I'm swimming, still doing abs, still doing some UB work. BTW, the American crawl is great for the arms - yeow! I don't plan to give up at all - I've been at this now for 7 months, and have only 5 months to make my First Fitness Anniversary. If I miss too many days in a row, I can feel it. For me, it's a matter of upkeep and lengthening my endurance... slowly, of course! I wish there were more opporunities to hike where I live, but I'll start doing that whenever we head up to the mountains. I want to be able to hike some in Oct '04!

I am 'off' today so will help the guys move equipment once or twice, I'll mow and work in the house. I still haven't learned how to use this new scanner and should do that. I also need to finish putting pictures in DD photo album.

I have been so tired lately that I'm having trouble even functioning. I don't know what the problem is....

I LOVE THAT MOTTO hehehehe!

14 months---to get in shape---yes yes yes. I can lost 8.5 lbs before NC?? GREAT!

My friend who was having lunch with me changed plans boo hoo..she has to do a work thing. That's good because I wanted to go to our fav Mexican place and, well, you know about Mexican food. Now I have no excuses not to eat healthy.

I'm craving sushi--so will pick some up for dinner tonight!

All I have fitness wise on the calendar is one Jazzercise class. Muscles will rest from the week's training today. I went to Jazzercise last night and guess what? NO one showed up again, just me and the instructor. We decided not to have class. It's harder to get students there in the summer, or when it's hot.

I have some things to take into consignment---so I'll probably come home and shower, and head out that way.

I kind of slept late today - vacation will do that to a person!

Back to work I go! Probably won't do a workout today, but have plans to do the weights and abs tomorrow a.m.

I feel lighter after all of that hiking I did during the past couple of days, but AF showed up early, so no weighing for me for awhile. She's being a booger with the headaches!

Have a great day everyone!

After hours of manual labor yesterday, even though I'd like to work in our yard today, I'm taking a break -- listening to my muscles. I've already been to an appt. downtown, to the mall to check out a back-to-school sale without Rob bugging me, and grocery shopping. Getting ready to head back to the mall WITH Rob to do some shopping. He's really growing lately, and his voice is getting deeper.

Think we're going to a movie tonight. I wouldn't mind seeing "American Wedding" to see where the first two movies of the series end up.

Have a good afternoon everyone!

Rhonda
