1. What are you looking forward to about August?

Getting back into my normal routine - off vacation, back to work so I'll be eating more normally, exercising more regularly, sleeping more regular hours, the whole works.

2. Where's your favorite restaurant to "do lunch?"

If it is just me or myself and DS or DH, it has to be this little grocery store 3 blocks from Gibson Park in Great Falls, MT. They serve "World Famous Beer Baron Sausages" and I get one that had been cooking a while so it is kind of dried out, slather on their outstanding hot mustard and buy a bottle of water to drink and a bag of chips to share, go sit in the park and enjoy!

Then, there is this wonderful little Italian restaurant in the Shops at 900 on North Michigan in Chicago that is a truly fantastic place to "do lunch".

3. Where's your favorite restaurant for dinner?

Capitol Grill or Gene and Georgetti's in Chicago, both steak places, or some little out of the way place that I haven't tried yet.

4. What's something people would be surprised to know about you?

I have always been painfully shy and when in a group, never quite knew what to say. It has just been in the past few years that I have sort of bloomed.

5. What book and/or magazine are you reading now?

Just finished Irish Stew by Andrew Greeley, and haven't started anything new yet. I recently learned that I actually enjoy reading magazines, but haven't bought any - I'm too cheap to put out that kind of cash.

That has to be a weird feeling -- mixed emotions. Rob is just starting high school, but know from experience with Erin that graduation will be here before I know it. Wish I had a magic formula to slow time down. We did get some back-to-school shopping today. Saw a number of things I'd like to have, but can't justify getting them right now.

Hugs,

Rhonda

1) Looking forward to in August: 2 things. My friend Susan is visiting for a week - Hooray! We're going to bike and walk all around town...

And at the end of August, Alex and I and his son and son's gf are all going to Prague.

2) Favorite restaurant for lunch? Our own kitchen. I prefer lunching at home.

3) Favorite restaurant for dinner? A local place called "Trattoria da Vito", which is run by 3 brothers, and there's this waiter named Alberto who is just a hoot. He's, erm, rude in the way that Renaissance Festival actors are rude. It's a fun rude. He treats us like family - like cousins who out of the blue descended on him for dinner... Charming in a rough sort of way... And they have quite decent food. I had a lovely conversation about garlic with one of the owners...

4) Which people?

5) I was reading _Text Processing in Python_ but after the latest desire to throw it across the room, I gave up on it. Now I'm reading a Bloom County compilation. Opus Rules!

1. What are you looking forward to about August?

Nothing....I don't particularly like August...plus dd goes back to school this month.

2. Where's your favorite restaurant to "do lunch?"

Larkspur...its a really unique restaurant in our town. It has the coolest little shop that you walk through that is like walking through a park and they sell really unique items there. Then towards the back is a coffee shop/cafe that is decorated really neat. You just have to see it to appreciate it.

3. Where's your favorite restaurant for dinner?

Applebee's

4. What's something people would be surprised to know about you?

There's alot of things that would surprise people. I don't share alot of my inner feelings with others, only with the one above. I guess if they knew my true inner thoughts they may be shocked to know I really DO care and that I too have feelings that get hurt. I tend to stay behind this wall that I have put up so as not to allow myself to get too close for fear of getting hurt.

5. What book and/or magazine are you reading now?

On the third book of the "Texas Series" written by Fern Michaels

I've been so stumped on the questions the last 2 weeks but...I'll give it a try.

1. What are you looking forward to about August?

***Vacation and also that its one month closer to being fall.

2. Where's your favorite restaurant to "do lunch?"

***I can't think of any place in particular but anything that involves Mexican food

3. Where's your favorite restaurant for dinner?

***Lately, Macaroni Grill. I had the best chicken scallopine. The foccacia is to die for but no carbs for this kid right now.

4. What's something people would be surprised to know about you?

***I'm a gourmet cook....lol NOT...this one stumps me

5. What book and/or magazine are you reading now?

***I just went through a huge pile of "O", Southern Living, Cooking Light and Good Housekeeping and pulled out the recipes, articles, pics, etc. that I want to keep or use for planning "The house and garden". I'm placing them in page protectors and have made a book for recipes and one for..someday.
