What's on your agenda today?

Sorry to start this, but we're heading back to the beach early. Last Sunday before school starts here, and the waves are good! We're taking two of Rob's friends with us today. Funny how he was waking us up at 6:30. Wonder if he'll be that eager when school starts. It starts at 7:15!!!!

Have a great day all.

This going to be an odd day for me. My middle son is heading off to camp this morning for entire week. I will miss him. I have never had my kids go away to camp, especially one so far away and without anyone family or friends with him. Feels weird, and honestly I an not liking it. He is 14 and he is so looking forward to this. He has asked us for years now if he could go and we made a deal if he made honor roll in school we would. Well the kid did! So off to Woodward he goes. Is anyone in the PA area? My older son is going to drive him there. Its about 4 to 5 hours away. Can you tell I am a little worried?

Hubby left about 6:30 with Katie to go racing. Since she is still # 1 in the points its important that she go. That felt weird sending them off without me. Bill said he did not mind, and that after Robbie gets off I can have the day to myself. I had big plans for myself. Take a walk or do my Walk Away the Pounds Video, lay by the pool, give myself a facial and a pedicure. Visit with my sister. But I got Aunt Flo last night about 7pm, (a whole week early). So right now I am doing nothing. I have such cramps. After I get Robbie out I may throw myself across my bed in the AC and nap a little. I guess a trip to the grocery store to restock some of my special things. Get a little more friut in the house, like the frozen berries. If I feel up to it later I will walk, and I might meet with my 2 sisters later this evening and see a friend of mine sing at a club. So right now my plans are iffy!

How fun to be able to go the the beach whenever you want. I sure do miss the beach. Again, I have no idea what I'm going to do today. Lots of things on the "to do" list but I just don't want to do them.

Have a good day.

We're back home, got in last night. This morning we slept in - DH woke up for an hour last night, but got back to sleep, and neither of us got up until 8:50! Gosh, "sleeping in" for us is usually 7:30 (me) or 8:00 (him). Al was up at her usual time, but she played quietly in her room.

Today. We've already unpacked and we did another load of laundry before we left MILs. DH is going to mow the lawn, so I'll probably edge. I want to check out Kohl's and Ross to take advantage of the last day of tax-free weekend - *if* I can find anything that appeals to me for DD.

For workout, the full Body Sculpt, abs and leg lifts. As of today, it's been one week since I stopped running. Yesterday I still felt a slight twinge, so I figure give it a few more days, and I'll resume running, probably with walking. Means I have to give up some mileage since it's the clock I go by, not the miles, but I'd rather give up a little than be sidelined with a more serious injury.

Good morning -

More rain/gloom/muggies today, so I'll be hanging out at home in front of a fan or in the AC. Workout will be 45 min cardio I didn't do yesterday because of my unexpected, very long nap. Then checkbook quality control, bill-paying, and -- groan -- watching the Red Sox continue their traditional August swoon. Gee, I just might go to the dungeon and do another big workout and have an old movie keep me company on the VCR - a big workout can't hurt any more than the Red Sox can break your heart.

Later this afternoon, heading to the ILs for DH's birthday cake and other goodies.

Have a great day!

Good Morning,

So far it's just been one of those days. I've been up since 6:30 but it seems that everything I've come into contact with has presented some sort of crisis or problem. So let's put it this way I'm leaving shortly for a manicure & pedicure for my therapy for the morning and then I think I'll stay away from anything that may blow up, burn up, or need the use of any part of my brain or cause anymore aggravation than I've already seen. Where is that deserted island?

Good morning ladies! It felt so good to sleep in my own bed last night. The one we had at the cabin was only a double and very uncomfortable. I only slept good 3 out of 7 nights in it. Ours at home is a queen pillow top and the MOST comfortable bed I've ever slept in. So anyway, my plans for today.....hhhmmmm.....I need to finish my laundry, shower, might head over to Mankato and do some shopping. I need an outfit for a wedding this Saturday. I don't want a dress cause I never wear dresses anymore....actually, I hate wearing dresses. So I was hoping to find a nice pant suit. We'll see.

Dh just got back from our garden and the tomatoes went wild while we were gone! He came back with a huge bag FULL of the biggest, yummiest tomatoes you ever did see! And another bag full of carrots! I can't wait to eat them!

Oh, and for my workout......probably a nice walk or bike ride tonite. I'm just so happy today. That vacation was really the pill I needed! Also, knowing I don't go back to work till Tuesday sure adds to my liking.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day, tweets.

Susan, I hope your manicure/pedicure went well. And hoping the crisus problems do not continue throughout your day. I have question to ask you. I've asked this before but forgot to check if you had a chance to answer. My son is student counseling at a summer camp in Warrensburg at Echo Lake. Are you anywhere near this town? He has toured the Boston area, drove to Vermont and is truly falling in love with the hole area there. I sure do miss him. He has been gone for about 6-7 weeks now and has 2 to go. He will be a senior at MSU which is only 30 minutes from us, so I'm so use to seeing alot of him. After this year he's heading off to law school. Hope he chooses one thats close to home. Well, anyway, I was just curious to know if you lived close to where he was at.

Take care and I truly hope you have a good day Susan.

I really, really, *really* need to get a workout in today!! Then, we are off to the beach. The kids have been bugging to go all week and I've had to many other things on the go. The one we go to is very nice with a concession stand and a big grassy park and a big playground also. We eat our lunch on the grass, then hit the beach.

Yesterday we got a good walk in. We had dim sum and then took a walk down to the inner harbour (about 3-4 miles roundtrip), then headed over to Beacon Hill Park so the boys could burn off some energy. While there a band (they have them every weekend) started up in the bandshell, so we listened to that for awhile. Yesterday's group was a five piece jazz band. Very nice.

It's a long weekend here, so I'll get a bit more *me* time in, as dh won't be working Monday! Yippee!

Oh, and while I've got ya here, could I ask you to keep dd's boyfriend in your prayers. He leaves Tuesday for peacekeeping duties in Bosnia. I talked to dd yesterday and she said he's very sad about go. Thanks gang.

Hi Tweety,

I'm on Long Island so not sure where Warrensburg is, but I'm sure it's in an upper part of NY. I am going to look on my map though, because I am curious! My younger DD loves Massachusetts and the whole New England thing (mama does too!). Her current BF lives in Massachusetts and she would love to relocate there if she could find a job and affordable housing. Right now she would settle for just being able to find employment in her career field wherever it might be before the student loans kick in!
