What's on your agenda today?

Sorry to start this, but we're heading back to the beach early. Last Sunday before school starts here, and the waves are good! We're taking two of Rob's friends with us today. Funny how he was waking us up at 6:30. Wonder if he'll be that eager when school starts. It starts at 7:15!!!!

Have a great day all.

We both have a 14-year old Robbie, although I've started calling him Rob sometimes. He'll be 15 on Dec. 19th and is bugging us to death to let him drive. Does your Robbie do that? Hope he has a really fun time at camp, and I totally understand how you feel about him going away. Hang in there. It'll be over before you know it.

Maybe your next location will be near the ocean. I've been by it for so long (42 years) that I can't imagine living inland, but I guess it's all in what you're used to. Wish I could be even closer.

Mowed the lawn at a race walk pace to try to beat the storm that will probably hit. It rained buckets on the way back from the beach, but was gorgeous there. The guys rode waves practically nonstop and all konked out on the way home. Tim cleaned up and went to work at the office, while I mowed. I'm debating about whether I should pull out the electrical cords, edger, and blower or if I'll get rained out.

Did my "Hoedowns" moves this morning, which are so effective for many things (including lowering blood sugar in minutes) and did my body brushing. If I am up to it, I'll try to get in the basic workout this evening. Hoedowns article in "Prevention:"

Funny Rhonda, my Rob just turned 14 on 7/7. Does he drive..lol! Well if you mean leagally then no. In NYS he can not get his permit until he turns 16, but for years my husband and my father-in-law have taken him (as they did with the older brother)to the park and taught him. Papa is great for letting them start young, about 5 I think, sitting on his lap. But besides that having a dad own a auto repair shop Rob has grown up with cars. Plus he drives the Jr. Dragster too, and he has been doing that now for 5 years. He just loves to help me and move my car for me......lol!

I justed talked to him about 3 hours ago, right before his brother left him at camp. He is completly fine and comfortable. All settled and eager to start his riding. He will make friends and have lots of great memories. Its a shame mama is such a cry baby...lol! I am sure the week will drag for me but fly for him. He gets to play paint ball, horseback ride, go-carts, and swim. Should have tons of fun. Will keep you posted!

In FL you can get your learner's permit at 15. It was 14 when I was a teen. Kind of glad it isn't that young any more, since traffic has gotten so horrendous! The regular license is at 16 here too. My Rob also likes to move my Explorer for me, and his dad lets him drive a little in parking lots or on back roads. Yesterday, a policeman passed them!!

The camp sounds like tons of fun. It will be a good experience for both of you. Starting to cut that cord is hard, and I know this from my first child who's now grown. I really resisted! You will both have so much to talk about when he returns.

Maybe you can do some fun things for yourself this week to "ease the pain." ;-)

Be strong, Mom!

Even a location where I could drive for the day would be great. I have no idea why but I have a feeling that our next duty station will be either NC or TX. Time will tell!
