I'm planning on having at least one mixed green salad a day and I thought it would be fun for everyone to post their favorite toppings and salad dressing.

For general purpose I like Newmans Own, Olive Oil & Vinegar; but if I'm going to dress up the salad I like to use Briannas Home Style, Blush Wine Vinaigrette Dressing. Its a bit on the sweet side and it says on the bottle that its delicious on fresh strawberries. I've never tried that, but on mixed greens I like to throw on 1 Tbsp of Raisins (or dried cranberries), 1 Tbsp Pecans, 1 Tbsp Bleu Cheese Crumbles and 2 Tbsp of this Blush Wine Vinaigrette Dressing. Yummmmmmm!!!

Yum, yours sounds great, Catherine. I love walnuts on my salad and also bits of blue cheese. Also, my absolute favorite salad dressing is still Chili's Honey Lime dressing & I found a great "reproduction" recipe on the internet. I made it and it was divine! Have to use fresh lime juice - think I have some limes on hand still, so may make that this week! I love their Caribbean Grilled Chicken Salad.

I like balsamic vinegar. It's really flavorful and no fat whatsoever. Alex usually just eats lemon juice on his salad. Wine vinegar is yummy too.

I also used to use the reduced-fat 2Good2beTrue (or something like that) dressings with 2 grams of fat - so it wasn't completely artificial, but wasn't chock full of arterycloggers either...

I love the idea of the pecans and raisins etc on the salad. Some of my favorite salads have nuts and fruit on the greens. Yum.

I like a green salad with mandarin oranges, almonds, red onion slices and chow mein noodles. The dressing is kind of an Asian version of oil and vinegar.

I just got a neat little salad thingy where you mix up your own dressings and it has the recipes right on the "thingy".I love Kens french but it has alot of fat in it.So I've been making my own with just balsamic vinegar, olive oil and salt and pepper. One day I threw alittle mustard in it.Trying to find little painless ways to cut fat and calories.

I also like Vinaegrette dressings - I like the tang. For a creamier choice, Ranch, lo-fat of course!

I like shredded cheese on my salads, a few bacon bits for crunch, and I might throw on croutons. I've gotta have something besides greens, so I get the bagged lettuce with carrots & cabbage in it and add a tomato. Sometimes I'll add a cucumber, but I'm the only one who eats cukes in our family (I love an oil/vinegar cuke salad!). Now that I'm off vacation, I'll be having a few more salads again for lunch, topped with tuna mixed with Lite Miracle Whip - when I top a salad with tuna, I don't use dressing.

Salad has become one of my staples each day. I buy the bag of lettuce already done to make it easier. But like now I am eatting a 6oz can of tuna with a Tblsp on Hellmans Lite Mayo ontop of lettuce leaves, sliced cucumbers, and red peppers. On the side is the Kraft Three Cheese Ranch. The Just Right Dressings. My favorite is still plain ranch. Not too creative with toppings though. Maybe some bacon bits if I think of it. I am kind of a boring salad eatter.

I don't care for salad dressings all that much, but if pressed I'd choose Catalina.

On my salads there is always a few black or green olives and some hard-boiled egg. What I really love the most is a nice, hot topping of some kind like grilled chicken breast right off the grill. My DH makes this wonderful burrito stuffing that is fabulous on a green salad. It's spicy and tastey with black beans and ground turkey...yum!

Of course I need my grape tomatoes and my cukes.

I LOVE creamy fatttening dressings. I love Ranch, I love chunky Blue Cheese, I love Roquefort. Who could've guessed? Right now I'm using a light one by Paul Newman. It isn't bad!

My favorite is my own: olive oil and wine vinegar, with a dash of garlic powder and salt, flaked coconut, and chopped walnuts or almonds.

Ready made: raspberry and walnut vinaigrette, balsamic vinaigrette, creamy garlic.

I've really been enjoying Wishbone's lite Honey Dijon dressing. I also like Ken's Honey Mustard and lite ranch is always good with some baby carrots and celery. I've really been enjoying salads for lunch and loved the bagged baby spinach/red leaf lettuce combo. I throw in some tuna(very low sodium type these days)(mixed with a bit of mayo and celery)cooked chicken breast if I have that or a little deli turkey (also the low salt version a little bit of swiss cheese, grape tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots and red peppers umummmmm good!
