Why do we want to sleep in on the days we have to work and can't sleep in on the days we have off. After rolling around for 45 minutes, I decided to give in and get up.

Johnny is still on leave today so I wrangled him in to going on a hike with me. This one is a new one that I haven't been on. I believe the trail book that I have said 14 miles but I don't think its a tough one other than the mileage.

I have a couple of 15 minute projects to do today but I think getting out "the list" for vacation and seeing if there is anything we need to get or get done before we go. Johnny is leaving to go fishing in a tournament on Friday so I'm keeping him busy while I can. I also have a chapter in "The Purpose Driven Life" that I need to finish before study tonight.

What's on your plate today?

Make it a great day!

I know just what you mean Phyllis. I just could not drag myself out of bed this morning! Kept hitting the snooze button until I thought DH was going to hit me with his pillow. But, I'm a happy camper as my root canal yesterday turned into a simple filling replacement with an admonishment that a root canal would be in my future someday. ...rats.... So, I went to step class last night and had a blast with a numb mouth and drank up some sympathy from my classmates. Had a really great class.

Tonight after work I think I may go for a walk if the humidity backs off a bit. It's really, really humid here today. Back to the good ol' Nebraska humidity so thick you can cut it with a knife. Since I skipped body sculpting on Sunday due to a headache, I might catch the wednesday night class. Or I might just bind and gag DH so I can go to chat tonight. So many decisions to make!

For a 15 minute project, I have got to clear out my plastic dishes cabinet. It's getting so you have to put stuff in and close the door quick. Makes for an interesting time finding the dish you're looking for.

Have a super-duper day!

Mornin'All

Never made it up for a workout this morning as I had a bout with insomnia last night. If I don't tutor this evening or if it's not raining (wishing I could send all you rain deprived people some of it) will get a walk in or else will spend some time with Rodney!

15 minute project-probably emptying the laundry chute and removing the laundry from the dryer.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Didn't have so good of a first day back to work yesterday. My whole body ached and I was just dragging by the end of the day. I ended up crashing on the couch for about 20 minutes after dinner. Then went to bed with the start of a sinus headache. Awoke this a.m. with it still there. I took a Maxalt in hopes that will clear it before it becomes a migraine. I don't know what my problem is. I feel so FAT (I did gain on vacation and I don't know why cause I didn't eat alot and I exercised!), I'm so tired all the time, and I just don't have any energy whats-so-ever! Hope I can snap out of this soon. Its not AF either. She doesn't come again for another couple of weeks. I'm getting sad also because I'm missing my middle ds that is in NY so much! He should be heading back home in a couple of weeks. Plus we start to move dd's things back to college this Friday. She will be moving completely in a couple of weeks. I need a happy pill something fierce!

Because I am new I am guessing what 15 minute project is. Probably something that has piled up yet takes a few minutes to complete.

Well, I work nights ladies. 11pm to 7am. I was off last night and I got a good nights sleep in.

I cleaned my carpets yesterday. Therefore, I an not even doing a 15 minute thingie today...ROFL.

I am just now tring to decide what exercise and diet program to start "again." I am bound and determined to lose my extra old age weight, as I call it.

I think I am going to read the Kathy Smith thing from this site and give that a try.

Dealt with a hellacious headache yesterday - wasn't sure if it started out being a caffeine-withdrawal headache or ate-lunch-too-late headache, but my eye appointment sent it over the edge. I ended up resting with a cold pack on my head the whole evening after dinner. This morning, thankfully, it's gone, so I don't think it could've been a caffeine-withdrawal headache (we'd gotten used to drinking 2 cups of stronger coffee at MIL's, though it was still half-caffeinated). Eye appointment was... interesting. Doc spent a lot of time with the bright light looking into my eyeballs, and saw evidence that my corneas aren't getting enough oxygen. First step, taking out my continuous-wear contacts at night. Sigh. Sorta defeats the purpose of continuous wear, but I guess I'd rather follow his orders than eventually having my vision obstructed by abnormal blood vessels.

Today... I gotta CLEAN HOUSE. It's a mess. I gotta get some more groceries too, for we're out of milk. At some point I'll get at least the UB part of Body Sculpt in, plus abs work.

Late start here too. After my tea I will head upstairs and get my bed made. Katie is still sleeping, which is good. She needed it. I wanted to go to Curves but since she is still out, I am going to walk upstairs for 2 miles. After clean up some and pack the cooler. Katie was invited to drive her race car at Night Of Thrills in Englishtown. So she gets to take her car down the adult track under the lights and be part of the show with the adult cars there. Pretty exciting. I need to think ahead even though Bill does not want me to fuss with food. I am going to pack the water, ice tea, soda, and then some cut up veggies, and some turkey and so on. I ended up bad yesterday and last night and I am afraid I will undo all my good from last week. So thats my day.

Morning!

Heading out to a 730am meeting for RAGS, then drop things off at the YWCA, then drop off auction items people have sent me at American Heart Association. Have a 10-11am personal training session (I'm SORE from the cable work) and 1115 manicure and pedicure. Come home and I have to do all the wash for my trip and pack today. Oh---one more grocery store run for salad mixes for ERic. Will roast a chicken today for him too, ended up making the lasagna last night :o).

5pm Jazzercise!

Good morning all! It is a cool, foggy, damp morning here. I don't know how it can be dry like it is and still foggy this morning. Strange weather phenomenon. But I like it because it is keeping our beans and corn from burning up. We do need rain.

I am home again today. Two days in a row in the middle of the week. What a nice treat this is. I will walk right away this morning again. I'll go before it 'heats up' for the day. Then I'll come home and tackle all of the projects I have on a 'to do list' for me. Some are 15 minute projects, some are long ones. I'll see how many of them I can get done.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning!

It's so nice to have a computer functioning properly for a change. I hear I'm getting a new one at work with more bells and whistles than is normal for my lofty position (HA!), but the requirements of my job have evolved and I need higher functionality to meet those requirements.

Workout today is the big one - cardio, UB and LB weights (machine and free), and abs. Did my 45 min of cardio Tuesday night. I was extra pumped because we finally sprung for the new bedroom set and new mattress and box spring. We didn't get any of the pieces we'd looked at closely for the last year or so, but found a new set that we both loved immediately. Leather headboard, low and unobtrusive footboard, sold maple medium-cherry-stained bureaus and and nightstand, drawer pulls reminiscent of the 30's. We both got tall chests of drawers because our room can't accommodate a triple-dresser (someday, maybe, but that's far in the future). This is definitely a bedroom with a male sense, and it will be very a soothing and calm place. Now we wait for all the pieces to be available - decided to wait to ship everything at once to minimize wasted vacation time. Could take 8-10 weeks. I'm not good at waiting...

Have a wonderful day, everyone!
