Good morning-

Hope everyone has had a good week so far. After getting on the scales this morning...its really been a great week :-) Cutting out those starchy carbs has been great!

1. What are you thankful for?

***My Bible study group. We're going through The Purpose Driven Life book and its really been a blessing.

2. 15 minute project?

***I think I'm going to leave a little early on vacation. DH is going to a tournament and I'll have to wait around until Tuesday for him to go so, I'm going to get everything done around (bills that will be due while we're gone) here so I can leave early Sunday morning.

3. Workout?

***I've been kind of slack in this area this week. I'm more in the mood for a nice, long walk or yoga than a hard, pounding workout.

Hope your day is filled with blessings!

1. What are you thankful for? I'm thankful for this wonderful group of women. You've given me the motivation I lacked to get back in shape.

2. 15 minute project? I didn't get to the filing pile cleanup yesterday, so I'm doing it today.

3. Workout? Already visited Curves. If the weather holds out, I'll walk with Joe this evening.

Have a great day everyone!

I'm still in a slump, but have been doing a lot of reading to try to find out how to make things better. This afternoon I got back on my supplements, because I think part of the problem is I'm low on certain nutrients. Got a very informative ad about Dr. Susan Larkin's newsletter in the mail today and was pleasantly surprised to see she mentions the importance of acid/alkaline in our bodies and the danger of being overly acidic as the book I'm reading states repeatedly.

I'm thankful:

Rob had a good first day of high school.

I didn't have to go out in the downpour to pick him up.

My kitty with the urinary infection seems to be doing better.

Guess we'll be heading out soon to pick up Rob's school supplies. He's come home with a list of all kinds of fees that are due, including $50. for wood shop!

That's neat that they're working on balancing PH even for the chickens!! Wish American drs. would get on board as the Japanese and Germans have. I've got a list of follow-up books I want to read, "Alkalize or Die," "The Acid Alkaline Balance Diet," and more. There is just so much to learn. The more I learn the more I realize I don't know. Wouldn't it be great to just be able to touch the cover of a book and absorb all the information?? What a time save that would be.

Oh, that would be so cool. Don't you find the more you read about things the more it stays in your mind and you find yourself being aware of health and making little changes here and there? Is Dr. Larkin the one who suggests baking soda to nuetralize the ph?

Yes, she's the one! I'd love to get her book, but don't want to subscribe to the newsletter. I'll have to see if it's available at Amazon. I want to learn as much as I can about this subject, so the more I read to reinforce it the better.

Sorry I never posted this morning. Got up late and never seemed to catch up. But I guess its never to late to post what I am thankful for today. So I am thankful that God found my Bill. Not saying he is perfect......would never say that. But yesterday he took off early from work to take Katie to this special thing so she could race her car. It took us 3 hours to get there. She got knocked out early but we stayed. She got to sit in her car and answer questions and people were amazed at her. It was wonderful to watch DH's face the entire night as he watched his baby girl! He is such a great daddy. (sorry that was long)

There was no 15 minute project here. Long day!

Had planed on walking but never happened.
