Heading to the beach early before the rains set in. May venture into "the jungle" to mow, etc., if the rains will hold off. I had to wash my American flag with stain remover today to get the bright green mildew out. Now, if I could just get the driveway and sidewalk pressure washed... Move west rain clouds, move west!!
Had a very rejuvenating day!

It was really nice to wake up this morning to the sound of the birds instead of rain hammering the top of the air conditioner. The clouds are thick and the air is soupy, so this will be an indoor day - at home or at a mall.
I'm going to do 3 mi cardio and a slow-burn type LB workout to match the UB and abs work I did Friday evening (I'm up to 300 crunches!!) - DH is going out early this morning, so I'll have the workout equipment all to myself and no excuse not to follow through.
Looking forward to my visit with the niece and nephew Sunday. If my sister is on call at the hospital and BIL has nothing planned except a stimulating day of watching golf on tv, we'll pack the kids up and just drive north until we see some sun and go to a park where they can run to their hearts' content, and then grab a quick lunch at a kid-friendly, non-fast-food place; their latest fascination is with TGIFriday's.
Have a great day, everyone!

So, it's off to Jazzercise this afternoon assuming I get my work done in time for class. Then, who knows? I might actually do some housework.

Woke up to another gloomy humid morning, it's the 9th day in a row-no sunny days yet this month! Made a big mistake when I got up to feed Otto this morning by going back to bed next thing I knew it was 8:15. It's going to be a hectic day as there is a graduation/going away to college party for my best friend's daughter and a block party for a friend of DH's both starting at the same time. We actually may split up for the day with me meeting DH later at the block party. It figures when you never go anywhere and then when you do have somewhere to go it's on the same day! So I have a lot of chores to squeeze in this morning but I am going to try to fit in a little bit of a workout somewhere.
That's it for my day-hope you enjoy yours!

I'm supposed to do my UB today. I'm just feeling sooooo lazy. I just got up from a nap (Alex is still napping) and all I wanna do in this heat is sit here and net, or read a book, or other "activities" involving sitting.
We'll see though - mebbe I can get up the gumption to do some weights. Depends on whether it's really over 100 (which is how it feels)...

Today we went to the coop and bought a new couch. HOORAY! It's a really yummy fabric, 2 cushion, with a mottled grey for the base and back, with a stripe grey and brown and terracotta red for the cushions. It'll add a bit of needed color to the room. and be *WAY* more comfortable than the old one.
When we got home, we both took a nap - mine was short, his was long. I was feeling really uninterested in doing *anything* until he got up and said "hey- let's bike over and get a gelato!" That got me off my tush. So when we got home, he went into his office to work and I came over here and worked out.
I did 21's today - that's where you take an exercise like, say, a bicep curl, and break it into 3 sets. First you do 7 reps of just the lower half of the motion, like from down to where your arm is horizontal then back down again. Then you do just the *upper* half of the motion, 7 reps of from horizontal to curled up by your shoulder. Then you do 7 of the full range of motion and by the time you get to the 7th one, it sure is hard! But feels really pumped!

Pouring down rain here......again!!!!
Workout???Maybe I should do some mental work, that seems to be the area I'm weakest in today.
