Just Checking In.....

Hi everyone,

Things are still crazy around here....My DFIL is still in the hospital and the doctors are grasping at straws. They really don't know what to do with him.

He's such a great guy..it's hard to see him the way he is. This is a man who up until a year ago was jogging regularly, doing martial arts and scuba diving...and BOOM..all of a sudden had everything go wrong. Scary.....really scary.

Anyway, I'm still going to be pretty scarce. I haven't really been walking too much but I have been doing some Pilates in spurts just to keep relaxed (if that's at all possible).

Just wanted to say Hi and that I miss you guys.

I'll try to speak soon.

*Shayna*

P.S. Keep motivating each other....I'm counting on you!!

Glad you were able to pop in to let us know where you've been. I'm very sorry to hear your DFIL is having so many problems. It's one thing to be able to deal with a specific thing and quite another when you have to deal with the unknown. Saying a prayer for him and your family.

Shayna, I didn't realize your FIL was in such a bad way. I hope the doctors find the right straw, or that he just turns around one day for the better.

Take care of yourself!

We'll add your FIL in to our prayer lists. Reminds me a bit of how my father did. He was always so athletic and active in the yard, then suddenly he had a mini stroke and some other problems and became an "old man" before our eyes. Of course, he was 83 when this started happening. He has been doing better lately and will be 85 in October, so we feel really blessed. I can't say it's anything the traditional medical community has done for him though that has made him get better, and he went to almost every kind of specialist available at Mayo Clinic.

Hang in there!

Hugs,

Rhonda

Shayna, so sorry to hear about your DFIL. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help. Walking and just moving around is a great stress reliever.

Hugs,

Catherine.
