So how did you do today?

Just got in from a 3 mile walk. I won't say I turned all my negative to positive but d***n I feel good! Eating today was good after a not so good weekend although I'm still fighting off the urge to go find a 2nd dinner since the first was awful and I was mighty tempted to stop by a few of the bbq's I was smelling on my walk ( do you think they would have noticed a sweat drenched person at their table?)but so far I've been a good girl. I may indulge myself in a lofat ice cream sandwich. Right now I wish the kid in the shower would hurry up because I need a shower!

How was your day?

By the way I resolved the "party" issue-there won't be one! I approached DH with the overhearing a piece of conversation and told him flat out not interested. We had a bit of conversation about the whole thing and we do have different takes of certain "issues" but at least it was resolved peacefully. As far as our friend is concerned still not sure how I'm going to deal with that one. She really is a great person but you give her too much information and she tends to get a "little pushy". She means well but don't be telling my kids what they "should" be doing for Mom. DH yaks a little bit too much to this particular couple. But I'm still ready for a icecream/margarita/cabana boy party at Patty's!

Susan, I did fairly well today, too. My eating was a little bit 'off' today but I did get a good walk in. Plus work was pretty busy and I got a lot of exercise in there.

I'm glad that your issue is resolved. Good luck with the friend. And I think I'll join you for drinks at Patty's. What time should we be there? Do we need to warn her? Nancy

Hi, Susan -

My eating was decent all day. My workout was not so impressive - I did my 4 mi cardio, but took one look at all the weights and machinery and said "nope, no way". It's too darn hot - my house, including the basement, feels warmer today than it has all through this stretch and it's wearing me out.

I'm glad there's peace at your house tonight. I would still tell your friend, in the sweetest way possible, to myob.

Have a great night!

Susan, so happy to hear that the party issue is resolved. I know it's a load off your mind and your daughter's. Your friend is lucky that you are so polite and considerate of her feelings. When people start telling my children what they "should" do, I turn into the mother version of the Incredible Hulk. LOL!

I had too many mint Oreos today, but other than that I did well. I'm really pleased that I did my body brushing, the Basic Plus workut, and wore my CardioStrides while I ran errands all in one day. For me, that's a big deal.

I'm glad you were able to get the party issue resolved peacefully. After all, it IS your birthday.

I did ok eating on monday I guess. Nothing too radical, a cookie bar at lunch. Having only one treat in an entire day is practically a coup for me. So YAY!

Did get my exercise in. Took a friend from work to Jazzercise last night and it was a blast. I think she's going to join. That would be so cool.

I did well with exercising yesterday, an hour walk and my weights for UB.Eating was absolutely awful. Not just what I ate but the way I had no structure with it at all.

On the subject of food I'm trying out a recipe I got in an email from ivillage.Chicken breasts brushed with mayo and djon mustard , rolled in bread crumbs and baked for 45 mins.Anyone tried it?

Sounds a little like an old WW recipe that used mustard with soy sauce mixed in. Lower in fat, much too salty, but tasty.
