Good morning to all. I am heading off to work shortly. This afternoon I will run a million .... well, not quite, I guess... errands after work. Then go to Weight Watchers. After that some I will go with some other co workers to take a gal out for supper. She is leaving shortly. Kind of a 'goodbye' supper for her. Then come home and if I have any energy left I will exercise. Might be my day off, too. I just hate to take my day off so early in the week, though.

My top three positives.... 1. I'm thankful that I am healthy and can work. 2. I am thankful for my family. 3. I'm thankful for my job. I do enjoy it most of the time.

I hope that you all have a good day today.

No running this morning - it's overcast and it was DARK at 6:30. I wouldn't feel safe running in the dark. So it looks like body sculpt for me today. I ended up not doing any routine yesterday, instead taking Allison to the zoo. Meaning I pushed her in her stroller! It wasn't break-neck walking, but a bit of weight-bearing up the inclines. We were there for 2+ hours and my legs felt it, so I know I got something.

I've been in a very snacky mood lately - definitely time to get back into a routine on eating and abs work. Could be AF around the corner, but I need to turn it into something positive.

Going to do some more beach research today, play preschool with DD, take her to story time, and vacuum - maybe clean the bathrooms.

Oh Phyllis, have a great time! I'll miss you.

Top 3:

1. The pain in my ankles, knees and feet is nearly gone. Doc says it probably isn't a stress fracture since it's healing so quickly and he gave me the go ahead to "carefully increase" my activities.

2. I finally figured out how to save songs from my CDs to my computer at work so now I have some decent music to listen to at my desk. All classical, by the way.

3. Discovered that a good friend of mine at work is also 'in to' classical music and that's been a fun thing to talk about the last few days.

15-minute project:

Tonight I am washing those dogs. It will take more than 15 minutes, but they reek.

Workout:

After last night's Jazzercise, I think a nice walk in the country will be good enough. About 60 minutes or so.

Challenge:

That sounds good to me. Remind me how that went again....

Have a goo day everyone!

Good Morning to all

Woke up with a pounding headache during the night, turning on the AC helped but still lingering on a bit this AM, think this humidity is getting to me! So looking forward to some heat added on with the humidity by week's end! Workout will again depend on how the workday and weather goes.

Three positives:

1.Worked out 5 times last week.

2.Crisis of the day at home was resolved peacefully.

3.Breakdown of the car was in front of my own house.

15 minute project-might try to find the flowers amongst the weeds in the back yard after work.

I'm going to do the Basic Plus workout again today and possibly some outside work, if weather permits. I need to pressure wash the concrete to get all the algae-looking stuff off it from all the rain when I can borrow the pressure washer from Mom and Dad. Wish I could send some up Shar's way. It's overcast here this morning, but may burn off as the day goes on. I'm sure we're scheduled for more storms though.

Positives:

1. Got Rob started off well in high school and went to his first jazz band meeting yesterday to get that cranking.

2. Started working out AGAIN yesterday, plus walked.

3. I've been doing a lot of research on healthy eating from a scientific point of view, so I can make changes for the better. I didn't buy any ice cream this week.

I liked the point system challenge from last year. It was comprehensive, but we could personalize it with the type of exercise that we like most.

Oh RATS! I've got to eat healthy and NO ice cream?!?!? Everyone else gets ice cream?

What are your Top 3 positive since last week?

1. I'm thankful for toilets; 2. I'm thankful for a nice long soak in the bathtub with my favorite scented mineral bath; 3. I'm thankful for healthy food.

A few years ago I went on a 300 mile bike ride with about 2,000 other people. It was one of the best family vacations that we've had and we each learned a whole lot about ourselves as well. My 3 positives for today are down to the simple pleasures in life that we came to appreciate on that trip. As the riders were approaching a nearby town we'd all yell out "Porcelain".

15 minute project?

This'll be a personal contest. Turn on the timer for 15 minutes, windex and paper towels in tow, and clean as many windows as I can.

Workout?

40-minutes power walk around the neighborhood with Brittany. She loves it!

Wanna do the challenge we did last year based on the points system?

That's funny. I was cleaning up papers around my desk and came across one of last year's challenge sheets. Sure, I'm in!

Had a wonderful run last night on the treadmill so tonite will do weights, abs and floor exercises ended with some yoga.

Top three positives.....1) Got to speak to middle ds last night. He heads home from NY this Sunday. I miss him so much! 2) Moved dd's things last Friday with only a few tears. 3) Lost 3lbs since the weekend!

Good morning!

I'm tickled it's Tuesday because it's that much closer to Friday, a day closer to a much awaited cool breeze, and a day closer to my niece's sleepover this weekend.

My workout tonight: my intentions are to do the big one, but I may end up doing cardio and either UB and abs, or LB and abs, and a good cat stretch session.

15-minute task, if the other shoppers and checkouts will accommodate me, a mad dash through the grocery store after work for a couple of key items: walnuts, soymilk, yogurt, and fruit of any kind. I hardly ate any fruit last week and I miss it.

Have a great day, everyone!

I called the chicken company to see what time Wed they are picking up the birds they were suppose to get Tues.Imagine my surprise when they said Thursday!!I'm just about ready to carry them over there myself.

Workout today, another walk with my sister. That's the best, not like a workout at all. Also some LB work.

3 positives, hmm I have to say one positive stands out most. Lately it's like DH and I have been in a honeymoon phase.I don't question it, I just enjoy it while it lasts.

15 min project, have to go to the dentist YUCK!!!!

Have a great vacation, Phyllis! You deserve it!

Well, I was wondering why I have been SO tired this past week - well, good grief, I worked 70 hours AND did all kinds of back-to-school picking up schedules, buying clothes & school supplies. There was absolutely no ME time in there except to eat & sleep. I only saw pieces of movies when I came home at 9:30 something at night & would promptly fall asleep. "Bringing Down the House" and "What a Girl Wants" were both enjoyable, even in pieces!

Top 3's: 1. My Sunday School class sent me a "missing you" card.

2. I got some great deals on the back-to-school clothes & George Bush's check

helped a great deal!

3. I ate extremely well all week - lots of green vegetables & fruit. Not

enough exercise, but I have not gained any weight or inches so I am happy.

15 min. project: Take books back to library

Workout: none, I'm afraid. I went to bed late after going out to buy school supplies. Tonite, I have to work.

Have a nice day.
