Thinking of you and Matt, your firefighter! Hope he's safe and you're holding up. I cannot imagine a place in New England where a fire could start - everything is saturated and is going to take a season to dry out. Wish we could send some H20 your way.

I've been thinking about you and Matt every time it rains here. It would be nice if Mother Nature would even things out. How's Matt doing?

Thanks for your kind thoughts. Matt called me just after dinner last night from the school gymnasium in Barriere, where they are being put up. He was in good spirits. It sounded like things were pretty much under control there. Most of the people were being allowed to return to their homes (only a few of the houses in that area were destroyed). We had rain here on the weekend and it was gradually moving into the interior of the province, making for lots of lightening strikes, many of which were making more spot fires. Matt's team was busy going around putting out the spot fires. So, I'm happy to say that he's not really in the thick of the big main fires up there. A bit of a relief! He'll probably be coming back home Thursday or Friday.

Thanks for your concern. You guys are the best!

So glad to hear that Matt is fine and may be coming home soon. Also, that you're starting to get some rain. We're getting tons of lightening strikes, but things are so wet, it would be very hard for them to catch on fire here (knock on wood).

Take care,

Rhonda
