Good morning everyone!I'm 24 hrs away from kissing the last chicken goodbye!!!!Can you tell I'm ready to be"chickenless" for awhile?

What's up for today?Anyone trying a new workout?Do you have a game plan for food today? If you're tired from work, life, whatever are you going to give your body a rest? The Dr who sticks needles in me is very big on listening to your body and giving it what it needs. When he first talked about that my first reaction was to roll my eyes. But more and more his words stick in my mind. We do alot to take care of others but sometimes forget about ourselves. So do something nice for yourself today.Have your favorite treat with no guilt.Focus on something good about your body, not what's wrong. Are your walks toning your thighs? Are your biceps getting buffer cause you're working on them?Make time for exercise or rest, which ever your body needs.

Today I have 2 houses to scoop out which will be a great UB workout. Then back to the track with my sister this afternoon.

Have a great day everyone!!!

Miss P

I've yet to complete a routine this week. Haven't exercised since Saturday (Sunday I usually take off). There just seems to be too much going on this week - following up with the Mom's programs, taking Allison to the zoo, cleaning house, gotta do laundry again, etc. So I don't think I'm going to *plan* for exercising today, and maybe I'll actually get it done!

I know exactly what you mean. It's been like that here too. I'm just taking it as it comes and trying to stay active as I go.... But not forcing anything. Of course, when I look at the temp and say "oh it's only 97, that's not bad" you know it's been a furnace! We're expecting 105 today...

OTOH - Susan and I went for a bike ride this morning - about 12 KM. We had a great time. And then chowed down on piadini (flatbread sandwiches) when we got back... We're gonna have a light dinner though... and breakfast was light - cereal with yogurt for me, cereal with milk for her.

This afternoon, later, I'm planning on doing an UB workout and showing Susan some of them... See if I can talk her into doing some.

Do you really kiss all your chickens good-bye or just the last one? How sweet.

My game plan for today:

Workout after work is step class. After listening to my body and taking last night off, I think I'm ready for a class. Still a little stiff and sore from monday night's Jazz class and the 3 hours of housework I did last night. I don't know what got in to me but I started cleaning up the kitchen and the next thing I know, I'm scrubbing the baseboards in the bathroom.

Food plan? I keep making a food plan and it keeps getting in the way of my eating. *sigh*

Not sure what's in the plan for today. There's the usual 8-5 day at the office, and I'm hoping to do a 40-minute powerwalk with Brittany, much to the chagrin of my obnoxious neighbor. Maybe I'll do something completely different after work. It'll be a nice thought to plan for during those boring meetings. :)

Have a good day everyone.

Your neighbor is lucky I don't live by her. If she saw me coming down the street with my two brutes off leash, she'd have a coronary.

Good Morning to Everyone,

Patty, just read an article on exactly what you're talking about! Have no idea what I'll do this evening. Still have a headache so maybe just a good stretch tonight. My favorite co-worker will be returning to work as she's been off for two days. I've enjoyed the quiet in the office the past 2 days. When she's there she talks incessently and LOUDLY! Sorry, getting out a little hostility before work. Anyway, hope to keep to healthy eating again today.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning. At least I think it is a good one. I am still tired this morning and I slept from 10pm-7:15am. Really got to sleep late this morning and it felt good! I think I need to get my coffee into my body. I'm sipping on it right now.

Today is my day off from work and dh wants to go to a nearby town (100 miles away) to the fair. So, I am going to do that. I need to get some shopping for necessities done so it will be a good chance to do that, too. We'll shop after the fair. There isn't a lot of stuff to do at the fair but he likes to go and look at things. It will be fun to get away with him but there goes my day here at home to get caught up. I need to have time to myself sometimes and I do enjoy my day off to get that.

I don't know what my workout will be today. I know that it won't be this morning because I didn't get up in time for it. I will do something later on this evening when we get home....hopefully??? I do know that I need to get moving again because I went to Weight Watchers last night and I'm up 2.6 pounds from my lowest weight just before the wedding. I can't let that keep happening.

I'm also in a bit of a 'funk' today. I was late last night, too. I know it is because Aunt Flo is visiting and spreading her cheer. I've had all of her baggage this week...headaches, backaches, crabbiness....you name it. And the food cravings, let's not forget those little urges! She will probably be here the rest of the week.

Now that I've whined today, I'll close. No, I don't feel any better from the whining either. But maybe I will once I get up and get moving.

Patty, you give those birdies a good talking to today as you shovel out the building. And get ready to enjoy your time off. How much time will you have between houses of birds?

Everyone else have a good day. I hope that things go well for all of you.

I didn't get home until 10:30 PM from my Nikken meeting, but it was interesting, so I enjoyed it. Met some nice new people too. Stayed up late on the computer, as usual, but I feel pretty good this morning. I think it's because I'm excited (and nervous) about my haircut at 1:30. I am so ready for a change in my look.

This morning I did my nails with this thing I got in a mall in Orlando. You use one side to rough them up slightly to get rid of any discoloration or ridges, you use the cotton side because it's healthy and helps them grow, and you use the silk side to buff them so they shine as though they have a clear coat of polish on them. Then, there's a little bottle of really rich cuticle oil to use. My cuticles are so dry from yardwork and being in water a lot. It's amazing how good all that makes your nails look, and it lasts for weeks with just a touch up buffing here and there.

Plan to do my basic workout plus and get in some time wearing my CardioStrides while I'm out and about today. I pick up Rob from jazz practice at 4, and he has a guitar lesson at 6:30, so we'll probably grab something to eat on the run.

The sun is out for now, but I'm sure there'll be thunderstorms again this afternoon. I should go lie out in the sun just to absorb some energy!

Have a great day!

Patty's kissing chickens? Must be a very slow day on the other side of CL..(wink).....

Wednesday workout? I don't know yet; I'm working late again tonight. I hope NOT to repeat my carbo/bread-fest and lazy-fest from Tuesday, so I'm going to snack smart today and eat a veggie-loaded salad with some turkey for lunch. I may go right into my workout when I get home and eat a small Smart One/Healthy Choice dinner after, depending on how late it is. I may skip the meal. I know, not a good thing, but if I fall asleep I won't know how hungry I am.

Have a great day, everyone!

I'm having a meetingful day! Up early to get to a breakfast meeting - yummy egg/cheese/sausage/veggie casserole, fresh fruit, cinnamon rolls, etc. etc. 3 mile powerwalk planned this evening as I am off work! YIPPEE!

Danny begins junior high tomorrow! Sigh . . . I'm seriously thinking about taking at least a month off from my second job (i.e. quitting it) so I can have some R&R! Also, I'd love to be able to go to a high school football game on Friday nights! Will have to scrimp on everything, but it will be worth it for a little vacation from a 2nd job! I will eventually have to get another & hopefully, it won't be too hard to find one (shouldn't be hard at all since it is nearing Christmas time).

Have a great day!
