What's up for today?Anyone trying a new workout?Do you have a game plan for food today? If you're tired from work, life, whatever are you going to give your body a rest? The Dr who sticks needles in me is very big on listening to your body and giving it what it needs. When he first talked about that my first reaction was to roll my eyes. But more and more his words stick in my mind. We do alot to take care of others but sometimes forget about ourselves. So do something nice for yourself today.Have your favorite treat with no guilt.Focus on something good about your body, not what's wrong. Are your walks toning your thighs? Are your biceps getting buffer cause you're working on them?Make time for exercise or rest, which ever your body needs.
Today I have 2 houses to scoop out which will be a great UB workout. Then back to the track with my sister this afternoon.
Have a great day everyone!!!

We had a good day today - Alex is in Sweden, so I'm on my own with my buddy Susan. She and I rode bikes this morning out to one of the nearby small towns and then back and had lunch at the local cafe. Then we had a nice siesta (ie *NAP* because it was 100F here). We watched _The Princess Bride_ together this afternoon and then I did UB workout and taught her some basic UB weight exercises that she can do at home with soup cans.
And then we had pasta and eggplant sauce for dinner. Yum. Afterwards we walked over to the gelato stand and I introduced her to 'delirium' which is a gelato flavor to die for: rich cream with chocolate bits and nutella swirls. Absolutely decadent. We sat outside together with everyone else hanging out there and then walked home.
All in all a good day. Tomorrow, we're thinking of a walk up to visit San Luca - there's a painting of the Virgin that was painted, according to popular legend, by Saint Luke of gospel fame... The local university is dedicated to it - the painting is called the Alma Mater. So it's called the Alma Mater Studiorum (AKA the University of Bologna, the first university in the world...) which gave the idea of referring to your own university as your Alma Mater...

Thanks for the compliments. Call me dumb, but my boss at Dillards told me my sales quota was ok right now and that they weren't going to give me a paycut. Well, I started thinking about Christmas gifts & how I want to save for our FOF trip and well . . . I just couldn't give my notice. My next review is in Feb. 2004, so I will tough it out until then, probably. I do get a Friday night off next Friday, so perhaps I will get to go to a football game here & there!
