My walk got cancelled but I did get a good run in up at the track. It is sunny and hot here.So glad all my chickens are gone.Chickens don't love heat like I do.

Kat, I read your post about people noticing your weight loss which you attributed to your hair cut.I think it's because you worked that weight off. But just in case I'm thinking about a haircut:)

Hope everyone is having a good day and that things are going well.

Thank, Pt..the day is going great! Ran 4 miles this morning, very early...plus that darn ab work!

We went to the dentist to get those pearly whites ready for school and play some baseball with my son. He is starting to connect and getting good solid hits.

Question for all of you...when did you start your kids in park activities or organized sports activities? With my background and from first hand experience, I am curious what you think from a different point of view...thanks for your comments in advance.

Take care all and enjoy your night. I am cooking a brisket for the first time tonight..let you know how it turns out..with red wine!! Oh, la-la...

Michele, Rob started in T-ball at 4 and played baseball up through 6th grade. He did all- stars a few summers, took Tae Kwon Do for a while at 6, played soccer at 6, played football at 7 and 8, basketball at 7, 8, and 9, then roller hockey at 11 and 12. He basically burned out on team sports after that. He started surfing at 6, and that's his big sports love (This is his 9th summer). He's skateboarded for a few years too, but since this summer he's cooled off on that a little. So, surfing is about it sports-wise, but he's big into guitar and electric bass now too.

I encouraged him, but didn't push, because I figured it wouldn't be a career and didn't want to take the fun out of it for him.

Had a WONDERFUL lunch with the political campaign volunteers. I think 19 people showed up. It lasted 2 1/2 hours, so everyone must have enjoyed it. They all thanked me profusely for organizing it, but it really wasn't a big deal. It just takes a little time and effort to keep in touch.

Everyone said they "loved" my hair, but I don't know if they were just being polite. I'm getting used to it somewhat. If I lose more weight I'll like it better, because my face will be thinner.

Talked to the president of the Rep. Women's Club, and I am now definitely the new editor of our club newsletter. Think I'll enjoy that a lot. I'm going to revamp the format and bring it into the 21st century. LOL!

Rob had me run him out to the mall and to another store, so I don't think I'll make it up to his school tonight. They had an assembly today, and he filled me in. Haven't gotten my workout in and still want to do that.

We had sun most of the day, but some brief heavy rains. I heard the surf is up to 5-6 ft., which is big for here. Guess where we'll be this weekend if the weather's decent...

Hope you're all having a good day.

Is this the Thursday afternoon check in??? LOL..Not sure if I'm posting to an old post or new post, but here goes.

It's 4pm and I'm just catching my first breath of the day. I posted my plans for the day first thing this am, but forgot to hit post til just now :o).

Went to Jazzercise, then my friend and I hurried to the grocery store to prepare for our August party :o). SO FUN SO FUN! LOL...we always feel so darn decadent. Another beautiful day here in the Northwest, and we had the chance to enjoy our good friendships, talk, chat, giggle, take pics, enjoy GREAT food! Life is so darn good. I emailed Eric when I got home to thank him for making my life so special (so I can Jazzercise and jazzercise and party and eat LOL).

So now I'm going to put away all the stuff I brought to my friends, get organized, and head back to class--even though my belly is so full and I drank so much diet pepsi I feel like one big fizz.

Dang, if that's all it takes to lose weight, I'll shave my head!

My thursday was ok. Legs still too sore to Jazzercise so I went home and did some more housework. I must have a virus or something. I never do this much housework at one time. What the heck? Must be going to have a rough winter. Maybe this is like the stripes on the wooly-bear caterpillars. Maybe I have a 6th sense about the coming winter. Maybe I'm full of it up to my eyeballs.... No, I will not come over to your house tonight.

Thursday was a good eating day, not a good workout day - I just ran out of steam last evening and crashed in the chair in front of the fan.

Today will be different - I'm leaving early and will work out early and be ready for a healthy dinner at a more-normal American hour.

Then I get to clean house. Just call me Hazel!

People said my face looked thinner with my haircut. Funny, I thought it looked fuller!
