Hi Everyone,

I figured I was better off spending my lunch break visiting with my board friend than muching on things I SHOULD NOT BE EATING!!!

I have nibbled my way through this whole week and there has been no exercise. I've been over tired and thinking way too much. Just starting to feel like I've begun to unwind from my trip to Mass. I want to start my weekend off with healthy eating and a bit of exercise. I'm feelin' sluggish from the lack of good eating and no exercise.

When I arrived home Sunday DS called me on my cell before I even got home and said that their AC had gone out and their landlord was on vacation. The landlord did not leave a telephone number or contact person so they are stuck until he returns. The kids and the baby have been at our house for 6 days now. On Wednesday DDIL parked in the driveway and her car left a oil spot. DH investigated and found that when DIL had her oil changed 6 weeks ago the technician left the oil cap off. Oil has been sputtering out of her engine and her engine was running on very little oil. She says she never noticed the engine was running very hot. They are now concerned about the damage this most likely has caused and getting the garage to pay for damages. DD called yesterday, they were going to start looking at houses this weekend with hopes of buying before Feb when their lease is up. Her guy found out yesterday they are closing the Carlson-Wagonlit business travel office he works at in 60 days! I've taken the recent events in stride. Although our house is full and the kids do not help cook or pick up I've enjoyed their company and the time spent with our grandson. I told myself the problem with their car is something I do not have to "fix" they are adults and can handle it themselves. I've been excited about the prospect that DD and her guy will buy a house closer to us and all the fun we would have helping them get things set up I realize that Nick has not enjoyed anything about this job in a long time except the good paycheck he collects. I think he will find something he likes and move on with his life. Maybe the house is just a bit further down the road than we all thought it would be.

Okay, I'll be honest...I hoping that the kids stay at DIL's parents over the weekend so I can get my house cleaned and in order.

Donna...the festival sounds wonderful. I think DH has mentioned this to me before but I've never attended.

Rhonda...Have you read the Wisdom Of Menopause???? Sounds like you are experiencing some of the things discussed in the book. A time of growth for you. I hope that you will find the answers you are seeking soon.

Kat... Did you cut your hair short? or shorter? I feel like I've missed a lot on the board. Is there a photo posted I can peek at?

Gosh, my lunch break is over....Thanks for keeping me company!...Margie :)

Boy, except for the carpet part (I don't have any) your last paragraph sounds just like me!!! I have got to get through the piles of paper and Rob's outgrown clothes. He has grown probably 5 inches in the last few months.

Patty, he's 5'4" now. Isn't that your height? So, he's changed a bit since you and Sassy saw him. Girls at school keep asking him what kind of conditioner he uses, because he doesn't have any split ends and his hair is to his shoulders. Truth be known, it's because "Mom" buys him good shampoo and conditioner and makes him get it trimmed. Sometimes I get him hot oil treatments too. If he's going to have it long, it's going to be healthy.

A very busy day today, since yesterday was pretty much a bust. Started laundry last night and finished it this morning. Got my workout in at Curves, maybe I'll walk later tonight with hubby. I also got the groceries done today and ran Amanda to the doctor. The poor kid has a rip-roaring yeast infection. She was so raw and sore last night before bed that she was just standing there crying. Made my night :( Apparently it just started Wednesday night and she didn't tell me about it until yesterday afternoon. By that time her doctor was away for the afternoon and I really didn't think she'd want a strange male doctor (she sees a woman) checking her "there". One dose of dyflucan should do the trick. She's 17 and ready to move on to an adult doctor, but we haven't had time to get one since her physical in June. Anyway, I ramble. I'm having a great Friday. My 15 minute project is to balance the checkbook and pay the bills. Not a big deal since I do it all on the computer. What am I thankful for? Electricity in New Hampshire!!!! Have a great day ladies.

"I need one of those organizers or a personal assistant. Also, now that ds is back in school - time to have the carpet cleaners come out."

Kat - Let's face it, we all need MAIDS!!!

I hope your foot pain heals quickly. I'll bet you're favoring your hurt foot and that's throwing your walk out of kilter and causing the other discomforts.
