What's up for everyone today?Rhonda, are you heading for the beach?Donna, hope you have a great time with your neice this weekend. What's everyone else got planned?

If the rain holds off I'm heading out to the fair parade with my sister. There's talk of getting dessert beforehand.Workout is up in the air.May do a short run at home, may head to the track. Was planning on a very lazy day but it seems to be getting filled with little jobs.

Hope whatever your plans you have a great day!!!

It's a beautiful day in NH and I'm heading out to Curves. It seems to be the best way for me to get in cardio and weight training in a very short amount of time. Maybe if the schedule works out I'll get a walk in with Joe later. Nothing exciting happening here today. Joey is at the golf course, hopefully he got called out to caddy for someone. Amanda is working 12:30 to 9:00 and Joe and I have the day free. What to do . . . what to do? All this free time is a shock to my system!

Have a wonderful day!

Hey there Patty. It is a sunny day here and supposed to break the 100's again. It has started out quite muggy. I was planning on mowing right away this morning before it got too hot but the grass that I watered during the night is still glistening this morning so I will have to wait.

I am pretty stiff and sore this morning. I tried some new lower body exercises on Thursday evening which have made my legs sore. Then, my corn episode yesterday made my back and arms sore. So I will walk today and it might not be as quickly as I usually do....at least until I limber this old body up.

Other plans of mine....housework, laundry, book work for the business. Just things like that .... you know, the things that don't get done unless I do them. And dh and I are thinking about going to the drive in movie tonight.

Have a good one. Oh, my food and exercise have been really good for three days.

Mornin' Ladies

It is a sunny day here in NY although more humid than it has been for the past 2 days. I knew I needed to get up and get some exercise in before it gets even hotter and more humid and the day gets away from me. I got up and headed out for a 3.5 mile walk. It's very quiet here as both DD's are away, DS already at work and DH has promised to help get the house in order so we can enjoy our week off! The house is in definite need of some serious cleaning up and I haven't done laundry all week so need to get that washer and dryer humming away. We were invited to a bbq this evening-which means no cooking-YEAH!

I hope whatever your plans are, you enjoy your day!

I'm heading to the shower to get ready for work. Today will be a rest day from exercise, I think . . . maybe I will have the energy to do a full body weights workout & abs after I get off at 6 pm, we'll see. However, I am so excited to report that somehow I managed to get tomorrow off! Goodie, goodie! I feel like a kid again! So many things I can do . . . I can get up early and go to an early church service & SS. I can go to the club and do over an hour of cardio on the treadmill & whatever else I want (& the full body workout w/abs if I don't do today). I can clean out clutter & do some washing & waxing of house. I can clean out the inside of my car (sadly neglected). I can rent a movie & read some more of the 3 books I'm reading! I'm so giddy! LOL!

Have a Supercalifrangelisticexpialidocious (sp?) Saturday everyone! Donna, I'm envious of your weekend plans - I want a full report! Have fun at the parade with your sis, Patty. Hope you get your beach time in, Rhonda.

It's supposed to be cloudy here in WA today, but I'm not convinced that it'll stay that way. Got all of the mowing done yesterday and most of the laundry. Today will be vacuuming and dusting once DH leaves the house. Maybe I'll do a powerwalk ... maybe not! Feeling kind of ify.

I'd like to have some down time at the bookstore later this afternoon. I just love the Borders in Redmond! Think I'll get a story book with pictures that I can read to my DGD. Something that she can look forward to everynight before bedtime. Can anyone recommend a book to read to a 5 year old?

Catherine.

Well, I'd be more then willing to take some of that rain you are having! We haven't had rain for over 2 weeks! Things are so dry and dead around here, its terrible! Our grass is already going dormant for the season. Looks more like hay!

I had good intentions to do a long bike ride this morning while dh canned his salsa but got an unexpected visitor. My old dear friend that I haven't seen for over a year stopped by. Her car was being worked on at a shop only 2 blocks from our home so she stopped by hoping we'd be here. We visited for over 4 hours! It was great! I miss her so much. Making plans to get together again soon. Its so hard cause she has one son the same age as my dd and then she remarried had started another family so has very young children. Much easier to get away for us then for them. Their one son has disabilities which also makes things a bit tougher for them too.

So the rest of my day???? Workout????? NAH!!! Taking today off. (Don't have dd here to discipline me ;) I'll hop in the shower soon and just hang out till church time tonite. Too hot out to go outdoors for any activity. Maybe I'll be able to do the veg thing today? We'll see.

Hey, Guys...great to see you today!

This morning, I hit the track and ran for 45 minutes. My runner partner has been nursing herself back to health very slowly and it is just about driving her nuts. She is a marathoner and would love to be ready for the Chicago Marathon in October. But I told her to take it easy, she is such a competor. That is a problem with runner, they are very goal oriented and sometimes they do not want to hear the word, NO!

They are a great group women, that I run with on Saturdays and would not miss it for the world. It is my "girl" time.

My DH has his "boy" time last night and he is presently sleeping in his chair at 1:08 p.m. central time. Oh, we are not as young as we used to be...he was a wild man before I met him and once or twice a year, he goes out with his male co-workers. He arrived home last night a little past 11 pm. Very good but he is finding out today about Father Time...

Heee, hee..sorry, I couldn't resist.

Take care, girls...enjoy the afternoon.

hugs, Michele

I taught class at the studio today. I need to get up and get ready for a wedding at 4 pm. Stay over my parents house.

My family is moving into our house next week. Big transition! ( I am an apartment rat.) Whoa! Back yard, porch, maybe future lap top .... hmmmm!

Maybe change is a good thing .. !

Yes, hallelujah, we spent the day at the beach!! Weather was gorgeous, water was beautiful, and even though it was about 8-10 degrees colder than normal the water had still warmed up about 8 degrees from last weekend. Waves were breaking well. There was a big surf contest up from where we go, so I walked up there to see what was going on. It was kind of a festival atmosphere with lots of vendors set up with tents of food, drinks, jewelry, beachy clothes, sunglasses, and one guy even had giant totem poles and Tiki gods he carved for sale. The usual boats pulling parasailers were there, but there must have been a paraglider club doing an exhibition or something. There were probably a dozen of them flying around throughout the day. Those are the wide rectangular parachutes with a seat that are powered by a giant fan. Looks like a lot of fun unless the fan breaks or something happens to the parachute!!! Tim saw one crash in CA one time, so he's not too keen on them. Anyway, it was so great to get back to the beach. I walked about 3 miles.

We stopped at TCBY to get parfaits on the way home. Now, I could really use a nap since the blood sugar is dropping back down. We'd talked about going to a movie tonight, but I'll have to see if we're up to it.

Hope everyone had a great day too.

I'm so glad to hear that you were able to get the day off. I thought about you for a couple of reasons today. First, I was wondering if you are anywhere near where the tropical storm is heading. Sure hope not. Second, I was thinking I wouldn't mind working parttime at Dillard's myself after some of the beautiful clothes I saw there the other day. They have some of my favorite (Sigrid Olsen), a beautiful sweater set and matching slacks that I think were by Anne Klein, and some gorgeous Misook knit separates. If I keep getting more involved in political things, I'd actually have somewhere to wear them!! I just don't want to invest any money in good clothes until I get in shape (I may actually save a LOT of money if I can't get more motivated). LOL!

Enjoy your time off!

Hugs,

Rhonda
