Where's the "Aunt Flo is here and I just want to lay down" icon?

My friend Susan caught the train this morning - we got her there and onboard before it pulled out at 6:30am. I came home and went back to bed and woke up to Aunt Flo knocking on the door... At least she waited til I was up...

I feel like doing absolutely *nothing* today. It's after noon and I haven't even gotten dressed yet. I think I'm gonna put on some music, grab a good book, put my feet up and read all afternoon...

Yeah.

We're packing up to head back to the beach. Hurray!

Rented two movies last night. Both had very good reviews and were pretty good, but unusual. They were "White Oleander" and "Adaptation." They were good for rentals, but I'm glad I didn't pay to see them at the theater.

Have a good day!

Anna-sometimes a girl just needs to do what a girl needs to do! Treat yourself kindly and tell Flo to do the same!

Have no idea what the day will hold. I really do say that a lot lately! It was supposed to be a beautiful sunny day with low humidity. Instead it's rainy and yucky outside! We didn't get in until after midnight last night which is way past my bedtime! I was wide awake at 4:15 but somewhere around the time that I figured I'd get up I fell asleep again.I have a nail appointment this morning and I have some bills to pay and if continues to rain I may join Anna with a book and my feet up on some household object! Sunday is usually my day off from exercise but since I already had taken Friday I may have to reconsider. We'll see-let you know later!

Hope you all have a great Sunday!

Anna--read the book, kick up your heels, it's Sunday darnit! :o)

After 5 days of vacation in CA and taking only one Jazzercise class, then diving right back into a lot of them, plus the new dance class--I am pooped today. Or maybe I'm sick, who knows LOL. I realized yesterday about halfway through the class we drove an hour to, that it wasn't circuit training--meaning no weights but one 3 min song. I'm used to Saturday weight training classes in Port Orchard. Not complaining, both instructors did a great job of team teaching...but I need my upper body work.

When Eric went out for his run (6 miles+!) I took out my body sculpting book and did my own weight routine. I wasn't into it, but it's enjoyable to watch your form in the mirror and see all the definition, that's what usually helps keep me going when I don't want to do it.

I spent yesterday going through eight magazines, have all the Fall fashion tips LOL...just can't afford to buy them. Cute cute stuff. Jewel tones--love those.

Eric said he has to go into work today, and it's absolutely beautiful here today. Blue sky, sun shine, fabulous weather. I'll call my family in Lake Tahoe (everyone is at the cabin boo hoo for me) and see if Erin really is coming on Wednesday :o). I'll start some cleaning. Since the weather is grand, I need to place my walking shoes on and do the harbor. Always someone you know doing the harbor.

And--I need to cook!

Good morning. It is sunny and getting hot here again. Supposed to be the hottest day yet and we've had some miserable scorchers here in SD.

We're heading to church in a few minutes, will go out for lunch, and then head to my parents place about 1 1/2 hours away. We'll be there mid afternoon and stay for supper with them. My brother and his 'significant other' will be there, too. It will be nice to see them. We'll get home late this evening.

As for exercise....I am taking today off....unless we go for a walk today at mom's place. But I'm thinking with the heat the way it is, we'll skip it.

Have a good one.

Well, it is going to be a hot one today. My older ds has been here for the weekend, which I love! Dh is coaching a soccer game out of town, so I think that I will go down to the library and get a good book and read. I guess I am strange, when other women shop I go to the library. This afternoon dh and I will walk 5 miles at the state park. It is down by the the San Francisco Bay and beautiful!

Have a wonderful day !

I got the "People" special on fall trends for the heck of it. Most of it is on younger stars and is too trendy for me, but it's fun to see what's coming up. Same with "In-Style."

The little munchkin - my niece - left with her mom about an hour ago. We had a wonderful weekend with her - we did just about everything I posted about on Friday. I had replaced and upgraded a lot of the arts-and-crafts materials that I keep around for her and her brother, so she had a field day with glue-on googly eyes, glittery pompoms, feathers, and the like. The Sunday routine has changed - we managed to talk her out of McDonald's for breakfast this morning, but now that's been replaced by the Old Country Buffet. And rather than going to the park or the Claytime place, we drove over to the nearby municipal airport and watched small planes take off and land - she lives right near Logan International, but we'd never be able to get that close to the planes there unless we were traveling or meeting someone. She had fun watching everything and asked a million questions about the control tower, not the least of which was why can't we go up there?? I need to do some reading about aviation.

She is a joy to be around. After dinner last night, she leaned over and gave me a huge hug and kiss and said "I love you so much, Auntie!" Then she squeezed under the table and climbed into my husband's arms and said "I love you, too, Uncle Peter!" Made my week!

Another good thing - on a day on which I normally would never weigh myself (AF due in this week), I did and found - 3.5 lbs down!!!! This after dinner at TGIFriday's. I have cut way back on starchy carbs, though not much else, the last 2 weeks. If this is what I have to do to make some marked progress instead of a 1/2 lb here and a few ounces there, it's worth it for a while.

Lots 'o happy dancing here!!
