How lucky your niece and nephew are to have you. You are providing for them special memories, that they will have for the rest of their lives. You are a very caring person and I really enjoy your posts. Can I be your niece? lol

You parents have the hard job. It's easy to be a good auntie and uncle. We get them for a little while, spoil them a little with our attention, hug, play, try to reinforce mommy's and daddy's message calmly, and bring them back to mom and dad after a day or two. They are mostly really good natured and obedient, although he can be the bigger challenge because he's still really attached to mommy. I love having them around. And DH is really good natured about it; he likes his peace and quiet, but gets a kick out of them and they listen to him because he disciplines them calmly, he's not a bellower and they know he means business when he reprimands them.
Like I said - easy to do for a day or two. And we're getting them for a day over Labor Day so my sister and her hubby can do a major cleanout of their basement to make way for additional storage. We're already planning activities that will keep them occupied, be fun, and get them exhausted so there will be naps all around at some point in the day!
Sharon - maybe not my niece, but how about my friend?!
