like the first morning -- Cat Stevens

'Morning, my sexy sisters! I hope you have a great day today!

Question: Who gives you the first kiss of the day?

Nick (the thirteen year old) nuzzled my cheek most every morning. He wakes up smiling ...!

Cat Stevens, aka Yusuf Islam, now there's another sad story in rock. I used to ADORE his music in the late 60's or early 70's, but now he's so anti-America. I just don't understand that.

Anyway, good morning to you too. Often my first "kiss" is from one of my cats (Tiger) or my Yorkie. My first real kiss was from my husband, but since my son starts high school so early, he now is the first kiss of the day. Lovely way to start the day!

'Morning Everyone!

Rhonda, thanks for that update on Cat Stevens. I didn't know that!

My first kiss of the day TODAY was from my DS followed by my DGD. Its been over a year since I was able to get a kiss from DS and DGD, so these are very special.

Usually my dog Brittany wakes me up with a kiss and gentle nudge, followed with a real kiss and hug from DH AFTER we've brushed our teeth.

Catherine.

Maybe Anti-American was too strong a label for Yusuf (Cat). Anti-Christian is probably more accurate. In all fairness, he did condemn the terrorist attacks on 9/11.

The following is from the above site:

"Cat Stevens Records Two Anti-War Songs

LONDON (AP) -- Yusuf Islam, formerly known as pop singer Cat Stevens, has recorded two songs to express his opposition to a U.S.-led war on Iraq. One song is a rerecording of his '70s hit "Peace Train." The other, "Angel of War," reworks his melancholy love song "Lady D'Arbanville." "As a member of humanity and as a Muslim, this is my contribution to the call for a peaceful solution to the dangerous path some world leaders today seem to be taking," he said in a statement posted on his Web site. Islam, who was born Stephen Georgiou, took Cat Stevens as a stage name and had a string of hits in the early 1970s. He abandoned his music career in 1977 and changed his name after being persuaded by orthodox Muslim teachers that his lifestyle was forbidden by Islamic law. He later became a teacher and an advocate for his religion, founding a Muslim school here in 1983.

Islam made headlines when he supported the death sentence issued by Iran against author Salman Rushdie for his book "The Satanic Verses," which some considered an insult against the Islamic religion. In 1990, he released his first album in 18 years, which was 80 percent talk. "Peace Train" and "Angel of War" have been shipped to radio stations around the world and will be available from the singer's Web site, his record label, Universal, said Thursday.

In accordance with Title 17 U.S.C. section 107, this material is distributed without profit or payment to those who have expressed a prior interest in receiving this information for non-profit research and educational purposes only."

Hi, Cee! You sound cheery today!

My first am kiss comes from DH; as it's usually just the two of us (except on niece's sleepover nights), if it were anyone or anything else, I'd be screaming!

On that cup o' coffee - thank you so much - make mine decaf, please!

Have a wonderful day - sounds like you expect nothing less today.

Its always from my hubby. He always says I love you and a kiss on the cheek or forehead before he leaves if I am still in the bed. If I am up and awake he plants one on my lips! Thanks for asking. Usually Katie is not far behind but not always with a kiss, but usually a hug!

If you count tail wagging the first kiss would be from Otto! But the real thing comes from DH!

Cee--I was in choir for many years, and that was one of my favorite "pop" songs to sing as a group. My older sister plays the piano beautifully, and we used to sing together (SHE has the great voice) and that was one of our "numbers." LOL!

Well this sexy sister:

1) Woke up without a headache this am (have been having bad ones)

2) Woke up without a stomache ache (been buggin' me of late)

so today is a great day!!!!

My first kiss of the day BETTER be from Eric, he's the only one that lives here LoL!

This morning I have Jazzercise, and tonight I have Jazzercise.

Found out a lot of my friends are going to Vino A Go Go on Friday---so I'm getting excited about that.

I was discontented with the whole auction procuring process for Heart Ball, but I left the "BIG" Meeting last night with new hope. About $20,000 more in items that I didn't know about had been procured. It's been weighing heavily on my shoulders and I was wondering if I should stay on board :o). I will--and everyone is so neat at the meeting I can't help myself. We just neeed more gatherings with the larger group!

The other private home fundraiser I'm working on is going well, RSVPs have been coming in, and we'll meet next week for some formal planning. Looking forward to it, Ladies Night Out :o)
