Three positives:
1. Got to go to the beach both days last weekend, which has helped give me more energy.
2. I got quite a bit done outside Sunday and inside yesterday.
3. Called to check on a friend yesterday who was in a serious motorcycle accident in Miami about 6 weeks ago. He broke his back and is paralyzed from the waist down, at least for now. I sent him an elastomag back brace and some insoles to help heal the break and to help regenerate nerves. After a month in the hosp. and rehabilitation, he went home Tuesday, but is in bed most of the time. He is getting a little movement back in one leg and a little feeling in the other(?). We had a nice chat, and I was relieved to hear that he's made a little progress. A nurse comes in daily, and he has PT every other day. I am praying for his recovery, and that he'll walk again. He was a triathlete.
15 min. project is my Basic Plus workout. It's too early to tell what else I'll do today. I may go back to bed a while first and think it over. ;-)

My 3 positives:
1) Flew to NC safe and sound over the weekend.
2) Found the sugarbowl in DS's apartment (yippee!!! Now for some real coffee!)
3) Getting an education from my 5 y/o DGD
Back to work for another work day. We'll see what surprises are in store today since I took yesterday off.
After work I'm going for a walk and adventure over to the nearby shopping mall. There are a whole lot of interesting stores that I noticed when we drove by yesterday. I love exploring new malls/stores.
NC is a whole lot more humid than WA so I'm not sure how much of a 'powerwalk' my workout will be with this heat/humidity. I'm excited about the possibility of loosing some weight while I'm out here, though. Oh yeah ... and keep up the water intake.
Catherine.
My day.....well, I am off to wrok shortly. After work, I'll come home and DH and I will head out for a quick little trip. We'll go most of the way tonight, stay in a motel and head the rest of the way tomorrow morning. There is a farm show called Dakota Fest every summer in the southern part of the state. DH wants to go. I will ride along with him and spend tomorrow reading a good book and taking a nice long walk while he views the 'stuff' that intrigues him.
Today is his birthday and tomorrow is our anniversary (31 years) so we'll spend it together instead of him going down alone. Yes, love is still wonderful after all of these years.

It's another beautiful day here. We're thinking of taking a ride to the planting fields today. DD has gone there a lot and taken some beautiful pictures of the flowers there so that's the adventure for today. I know there's lots of walking involved but have to bring the sunscreen-forgot it yesterday and I got a little too red yesterday. Hope to get some weights in this afternoon, haven't been very good about keeping up a good schedule with that.
Three positives:
1. We've really been enjoying places on Long Island that we've either not seen or been to in a long time.
2. Enjoying some beautiful weather.
3. Relaxation and peace and quiet!

3 positives: 1) Gotta go with the rain first. 2) Learning to tat isn't as hard as I thought it would be. 3) We finally settled on getting a new motorcycle this year and just letting go of the house idea for a while. Too stressful. Plus we found a bike that we both just love...now I just have to talk my buddy Herb at the credit union into it...
15 minute project: If it stops raining long enough and Herb comes through for me, I'll pick up that bike this afternoon after work. Here's a link to the pic of the bike we want:

Holding AF at bay and refusing to give in to her demands for chocolate, ravioli (raging urge to eat the pound of them that's in the freezer), bread, and butter!
Workout tonight is cardio and UB; 1/2 hour of stretching on the agenda, too.
15-minute task - get through Costco without looking at every little thing in the store and just attending to my business. Ha! Will never happen.
Three positives - 1) my project last week got done before the blackout hit and mucked up communications between here and our headquarters in NY; 2) my wonderful weekend with my niece and my nephew's 1-day visit (see little story below); and 3) my 3.5 lb weight loss.
At 4 years old, my nephew is already showing the potential to be either the class clown or the charmer a la Eddie Haskell. I told my sister that at least if he were class clown, he could make a living at it. Anyway, on the way out the door, he asked my hubby if he could take some grapes for the ride home. My DH got him a bunch and put them in a baggie so they wouldn't end up all over the car. As they were riding home, my nephew said to my sister, "Mommy, wasn't Uncle Peter nice to put my grapes in a bag so I wouldn't make a mess?" So darn cute - and charming!
Have a great day, everyone!
