It's the afternoon somewhere...almost here :o). How is your day going? Any challenges? Any upsets? Any wonderful things happen that you want to share? What have you done so far on your fitness?

I decided to go to the grocery store before my workout this morning, so I wouldn't be totally starved at apt to buy anything with the ingredient "chocolate" in it. Actually, I'm more in the mood for salty crunchy v sweets--odd, huh? Got a couple of roasting chickens, tossed one in the freezer and I'm roasting the second with fresh herbs under the skin. YES--I roast a chickena bout once a week, I love it!

Class went well today, hip flexor is better, even did the "SHAGGY" routine which is heavy on the ole flexors! They worked, yippee.

I have a question for you--since we're all over the country (and world).

Has fall started where you are? I sense the days changing a bit, and the trees here are starting to get reddish at the tippy top. I love to see the changes, not ready for the rains yet--but fall is a lovely time of year.

I am SO ready for fall! I can't take this heat anymore! And I just love the colors and smells of fall. I just got back from a run in the cemetary with dd. We did 3 miles and it was so fun! She's such an inspiration to me! Gets me going and keeps me going!

I did a good UB and cardio workout, and followed through with my threat to do 1/2 hr of stretching. Felt wonderful. I do wish I could shut my mind off long enough to get a yoga practice going - I'm ok for about 5 minutes, then I start talking to myself, and well, calm goes out the window.

There are no signs of fall around here yet. I keep looking, though. After a return to the misery of humidity Thursday and Friday, this weekend they're callin' for "autumnal" temperatures, with the possibility of it even dipping into the 40s overnight Saturday/Sunday. I'm waiting with bated breath! I cannot wait to put on my new jeans and and French terry tops. And you can bet I'll be out Sunday morning looking for red leaves - we live in a valley and it's been cooler here than most of the rest of the Greater Boston area the last couple of mornings, so those changes should appear soon. Yippee!

Good night, all!

Wow, summer isn't even over until 9/21, and you guys get red leaves already! I had no idea it started this early. I always think Oct. for color even in NE. Wish I had a beach place in S FL or the Bahamas for winter. Maybe one day...
