How is the eating today? Any crisiseses going on? All ok? Family treating you well? How is the job? Let us know :o).

Mom was deadheading and cut the top of her finger off today, nail and all. Pretty gross, she's been have some heart issues and I think that scared her big time! She and I have the tendency to do things FAST..and I can just picture her doing this. My little sister Erin thinks first, and does things in an orderly pace...Melissa--now she's more like me and Mom.

The body sculpting class went well, but my right foot (previously broken one) was acting up again and I had to walk out a couple of routines, and darnit, they were new and fun :(. I have to listen to my body--and my body said slow down deb!

I had an english muffin with pb this am that felt heavy, and then for lunch some chicken breast--it wasn't appealing or appetizing at all, just there. I have a new cookbook--I need to get some recipes cooked up!

Will wait til 2pm ish and head out for my grocery store and dry cleaning run.

Oh, your poor Mom!!Ouch!Hope she's ok.Speaking of Moms, I'm so proud of mine. She has been going to the nursing home to help with bingo and things. She loves it and I'm sure they love having her there.Mom stays busy but always make sure she gets up there at least once a week.

Eating has been pretty good today.Got in a 4 mile run and then headed off to CL to work. Will need to go back and work some tonight.

I am struggling so with hormones!!Is it my age or what???I get migraines before period and at the end.Now I'm getting extra headaches before I even start.Headaches come on schedule but period is off. With headaches come cramps on one side.Keep hoping it's my hormones last hurrah and they are ready to shut up!!!!Maybe this is what Iget for saying "39" too many times :)

Well my day certainly didn't turn out as expected. In fact, was thinking that DH and I were going to meet our Maker today. After a slow start to the AM we decided we would go to an early afternoon movie. Took my car, BIG MISTAKE. The car died in the middle lane of a major road. With hazards on, trunk open, hood open people are pulling right up behind us before moving over to another lane. After about 10 minutes and not being able to get it started DH decided to push the car. Well of course by the time he had pushed the car halfway across the 4 lanes of traffic at the intersection the light turned red and now we are in the middle of this very busy intersection pushing this car people starting across the intersection not seeing us. I though for sure we would be broadsided or someone wouldn't see DH and end up hitting him. Fortunately a lady in a car was waving her hand getting people to slow down and allowing us to get through the intersection safely. We eventually got the car started and about a block from home it sputtered and spewed and would start and the die. We did make it home but DH looked at me and I looked at him and I told him I'm just not going to feel comfortable driving this thing any more. We've been putting money into this thing keeping it running & after talking to one of the mechanics he thinks he knows what's wrong with it but the part has gone obsolete. DD has needed my Taurus to get herself back & forth to work and hasn't been able to find a "real job" yet so she's not in a position to buy anything for herself yet so that leaves me without wheels. So needless to say we were in DH's dealership pricing out a Ford Focus. I refuse to buy another used one we did that with the Taurus and you always end up putting money into a used car after buying it so it looks like another expense may be in order! I may never get to North Carolina next year at this rate!

I am very thankful that we got through the experience unhurt although the 2 police cars that passed us I do have a few choice words for!

Boy, what a harrowing experience! I'm relieved to hear you made it through OK. You have to have safe wheels, so go for the new car. Maybe you can drive to NC or hitch a ride with someone else on the board!

So sorry to hear about your mom. Hope it didn't remove a large portion of her finger or require stitches. What was she deadheading?? I do it the "casual" way on flowers by pinching them off. Little chance for injury that way.

I can't imagine my mom doing anything in the yard. That's Dad's territory. Her idea of exercise is walking to the kitchen, to the car, or in stores. ;-)

Glad you arrived home safe and sound.I can't believe 2 police cars just went past you!!I refuse to believe any of us won't make it next year to the FOF party. Of course I also refuse to believe I'm 40 and not a Princess!!!!

Gosh I hate it when that happens! I always feel so sorry for people who are stuck in that position and I usually stop to help them out if they need it. I hope you find a new car to your liking.

Deb and Susan - Hope you and your family members avoid injury today. Susan, I can only imagine how you and your DH must have felt out there. On some roads up here, the breakdown lane is an authorized moving traffic lane during certain times of the day, so we don't even have that protection any more - not that it's that safe to begin with. Deb - Hope your mom heals quickly.

I didn't do a workout last night - I got home too late, then I cooked for DH, and was too hot and tired after the cleanup to think about a workout. Even with the mega-lunch (Deb - I posted it somewhere for you to read about), I still feel I did well with eating; I didn't feel bloated or stuffed, I ate just veggies and a string cheese stick last night, and don't feel starved today (but the day is young....).
