I was thinking about Deb earlier and realized she hasn't posted today. Hope everything is ok, keep thinking about her mom yesterday.

How has everyone's day gone?Booty, was the boss better today?BNL, everyone's Dr visits go ok?Tweety, thinking about you today. And everyone else , how are you all doing?Anyone kick butt with workouts or conquer a major craving today:)

I had a really good weight workout.Decided not to chance putting it off or I'd never do it.But I've been eating like a starved person since lunch.Oh well, tomorrow's another day. Hmm, wonder what I can eat tomorrow......

Didn't really get much accomplished today-well if you count being exceedingly lazy an accomplishment I will give myself an A+. Everybody's dr's visits went fine. I got my referrals so next month will be the annual boob squash and a bone density test-anybody else have to have one of those? I haven't worked out and really haven't felt like it-it's hot and humid here and well just have a case of the lazies! Did do a lot of reading today and if you hear strange vibrations it's just me-I'm cooking dinner-well it's more like turkey burgers on the BBQ. I'm down to a selection of three Ford Focus'-Sierra red(which is almost the identical color of DH's pickup truck & as wierd as it seems I'm not sure I want the same color car as him) with an MP3 player & antilock brakes in it or a silver with a CD player in it and side impact air bags or a metallic gray with a moon roof, CD player and side air bags. Can't seem to make up my mind-but will have to come tomorrow!

I did in desperation this afternoon searching for something cold, sweet and chocolately and having no car walk to Dunkin Donuts for a Coffee Coolata!

That was my day!

I'm heading to the dungeon for LB, abs, and cardio. And stretching; can't forget that.

I'm Doing more software updates tonight, so I'll be on-line actually sitting at the computer only sporadically. I really never paid attention to downloading and updating software before this week. Takes forever! I'm thankful I can multi-task!

Back later!

Had an unpleasant experience this evening... Just got back from Rob's open house, Wendy's, and the ATM. Had a fall in the Publix parking lot as I was going to the ATM and banged my knees up with big scrapes on both kneecaps and under both knees, but I think I'm fine. Thank goodness I had on jeans. It was raining, my foot hit a spot in a puddle, and it was as though it was on ice. My feet were out from under me before I knew it. My knees took the brunt of it. Don't think my hands even touched the ground, because they weren't wet. The front of my pants from the knees down were soaked. My neck and lower back are a little sore, but I soaked and have magnets all over. My knees stopped stinging when I put the magnets on. Hope they'll prevent bruising. A woman sitting on a bench by the ATM said, "Oh, are you OK?" I told her I was fine, but it did hurt. It really did for a while.

At the open house, I ran into a mom of one Rob's best friends when he was like in 2nd grade. She used to be quite large, so I was surprised to see how much weight she'd lost. Turns out she had actually gained weight, then had gastric bypass surgery, and has lost 160 lbs.!!!! I don't think I've heard of anyone losing that much before.

Hope everyone else has had a good day. I was pretty much a slacker other than running Rob around and doing a little around the house.

There used to be a gal that visited this board last year. She had gone through gastric bypass surgery and lost at least 130 lbs. ... maybe more. She was still trying to lose. Her profile had a website with pictures of her progress.

There have been a lot of good/bad stories regarding gastric bypass surgery. You want to really check out the risks ... and thoroughly check out of the surgeon that does it and get references, etc.

I've always heard it's quite serious. I don't recall anyone on the board having had gastric bypass. I remember Tulips had lost about 120 lbs. through diet and lots of exercise, but that's all. Of course, my memory is not the greatest. AOL has a popup article about Sharon Osbourne's experience with it and Ann Wilson from "Heart." Even though it can be dangerous, I'm hearing of more and more people doing it. Scary!

Well I didn't fight it....I cried this morning when I left for work. I cried later this morning when dd stopped by to say "good-bye". And I cried all the way home and when I got home. I'm okay now. Dh was a great comfort to me. I couldn't just sit around feeling sorry for myself so I ran 2 1/2 miles on the treadmill and did UB weights. I made myself an Arbor Mist slush and am heading to the tub right now. Haven't heard from ds yet so am hoping he calls tonite to let me know he's home okay.

It gets easier. And remember, she'll be back. They always come back.

Didn't see much of the boss so yes, he was better. Not a very productive day though. I spent most of it cleaning up little things here and there that were nearly done but not quite...mosquito bites is what I call them. Just a little thing really, but it can be a pain in the patoot.

No workout, went bike riding instead.
