Good morning everyone-
I still can't seem to get caught up on everything but...I think today will do it. One of Johnny's Army buddies was in town visiting from NC so I didn't get everything taken care of and early to bed like I hoped. I'm really looking forward to having the day off Sunday, plan workouts and food...and then, get the week started right. I hate this seat of the pants stuff.
What big plans do you have for the weekend?
What nice thing do you plan on doing for your DH today?
15 minute project?
Workout?
Enjoy the Friday...last workday of the week for most!

What big plans do you have for the weekend?
This weekend I'll have some time to adventure around North Carolina. A trip to Borders is definitely in order.
What nice thing do you plan on doing for your DH today?
I'm not sure what nice thing to do for DH today, but I sent him a "I miss you card" in the mail a few days ago. I'll have to ask him if he's picked up the mail cuz I haven't heard him say anything about it.
15 minute project?
Laundry is starting to pile up.
Workout?
Going to head out to Target or BlockBuster to see if I can get an exercise tape. I've seen a lot of cyclists around here. Wish there was a place to rent a bike. Hmmmm .... I'll have to check that out.
Have a Happy Friday everyone!

Coming home from vacation is so strange isn't it? Seems like you should be rested and ready to go but for some reason nothing is right and you feel all mixed up. Good luck with getting your plans set up and going.
Today's workout will probably be either a walk or a Jazzercise class. Skipped the workout last night in favor of a nice bike ride with DH. It was fun. He rode the new bike and I was on the Vulcan.
I've already done a huge nice thing for DH this week. It's his turn now.
15 minutes? I'm so disorganised this week, I think I'll organise stuff.
Weekend plans. Nothing big. Farmer's market tomorrow morning. Menu and workout plans. The usual.
Have a great day.

Workout - finally ran yesterday and did abs between 8-9pm last night! Better late than not at all, even though it's not recommended to work out close to bedtime. Today, let's try UB and abs. Oh, I stepped on the scale today because I could tell I'd essentially recovered from our Bob Evans-Wendy's-local cuisine weekend away. I've got about 2-1/2 pounds to shed which I've gained since the end of July. Not as bad as I'd thought.
15 min project - more work on the Care Train, getting our package together.
Something nice for DH - I'll be picking up the sandwiches tonight!

Going to try to tolerate today's steamy weather. Mid 90s and very high humidity expected here today - the humidity is here, just waiting for Mother Nature to turn up the heat. Today I'm thankful for a office job in a 10-story building with good AC, and will pray that another blackout doesn't occur in the Northeast.
Weekend plans? Just to enjoy the cooler weather. It will be a seat-of-the-pants weekend - no firm plans yet, except to get out early Sunday and see if there's any leaf color as a result of the dip in temperatures Saturday evening.
Tickets for Shania Twain's Boston concert go on sale on-line tomorrow morning at 10; that's the nice thing I'm doing for DH - getting tickets for my anniversary present to him. OK, I like her too, and the concert should be fun.
Workout plans tonight - yup, I've got 'em, I just need to follow through instead of sitting down on the couch. UB, abs, and lite cardio, and heavy stretching. Phooey on you, AF!
Have a great day, everyone!

This morning is the last workday morning for vacation. I'm trying to get my act back together. With the exception of a couple of loads of laundry during the course of the week I haven't done ANYTHING around here. I figured if we couldn't go away I could pretend we did! I have a BP check this morning-I'll be curious to see how it is today since it was back on the high side yesterday at the gyn appt.
It's another hot & muggy day here but I hauled my backside to the basement first thing this morning and did my 3 mile walk tape. Need to get my eating back on track too. I found a stashed away bag of M&M's last night and we were definitely keeping each other company! I'll be going to the dealership too this morning to make my selection on my vehicle and if all goes well I'll be back in wheels by the beginning of next week. A trip to the grocery store is in order too. I guess all these things add up to several 15 minute projects.
Something nice for DH....maybe I'll pick up the tab for dinner tonight! He's been so nice about me not being in the kitchen this week!
Hope everyone enjoys their day!

I am home today and planning several 15 minute projects. Also some longer ones. DD and her husband will be coming this evening to stay for a few days. They will work for us for a few days before school starts for her. Today is her last day of her summer job and classes don't start till the first week in September so she's anxious to get out to the farm for some work. Her husband's last day of work was last Friday. He's in the job searching mode right now so he will have some time to help us out, too. We will use the extra labor to get a few things done that have been needing extra labor to get done. And we'll have some extra time with them.
My lawn needs mowed again....but just the good stuff around the house. The farmyard part is drying up and won't be growing unless we get a bit of rain. I want to pick up the house since I've been working all week and gone on my day off. It's getting a bit cluttered. And I should plan some meals for when the kids are here. Maybe it would be easier than if I came into the kitchen last minute thinking....what can I cook???
My goal is to make the meals lowfat and delicious. Lots of fruits and veggies and I'll grill a lot. Hmmmm.
I will walk today at some point. I took yesterday off. Ended up not doing the workout I said I'd do. (head hanging in shame here) So I definately need to do that today and fairly soon .... before the temp gets back up in the 90's. It's supposed to be cooler here today. That will be nice.
Everyone have a good day today.

What nice thing do you plan on doing for your DH today? Hug him and thank him...for what! Nothing in particular, just because.
15 minute project? Spend as much time with ds as possible! I can't wait to see him today!
Workout? Probably a nice long evening walk outdoors. Its really cooled down here lately which helps the moods of everyone around here.
15 min. project - already did - made a Walmart run.
No dh here . . . (sigh).
Have a nice day.
I've been disappointed in my right foot this week, it's not recovering! I had wanted to top class off last night with a walk around the harbor, but no way would my foot cooperate. I have to see my regular doc to get a referral to see a foot doc or what have you, so I've been putting it off-thinking it's an overuse thing and not go as hard as normal. My knee repaired itself! Now foot...please do the same :o). Our two week hiking trip is coming up (leave next weekend) and it sure won't be fun if I can't hike :(.
Today I'll go to Jazzercise, then I've got a mani/pedi appt, then come home and do the stuff I've put off (auction) this entire week. Tonight is Vino A Go Go, fundraiser for the Actors Guild. I have a dress picked out, and needed nice weather to go with it :o). BUT, being the NW, it's going to rain. I'm still going to wear the dress -- don't matter, I'll bring a little dressy denim jacket just in case.
I got a cheetah print dress yesterday and it's just too cute and sexy---I need an event to wear it!
