Good morning everyone-

I still can't seem to get caught up on everything but...I think today will do it. One of Johnny's Army buddies was in town visiting from NC so I didn't get everything taken care of and early to bed like I hoped. I'm really looking forward to having the day off Sunday, plan workouts and food...and then, get the week started right. I hate this seat of the pants stuff.

What big plans do you have for the weekend?

What nice thing do you plan on doing for your DH today?

15 minute project?

Workout?

Enjoy the Friday...last workday of the week for most!

Good grief, I forgot I had a hair appointment! I really hope getting my hair cut & styled perks me up as I can use a mood lifter! I kind of dread it, though, as I loved the cut she gave me in June, and I don't feel as if it will turn out as well this time. What a pessimist I am, I know. I also have to cancel a doctor appointment as I was very disappointed in his nurse. You spend so little time with the doctor and if you happen to have a rude nurse, it just makes for a bad relationship with the doctor. I really didn't like his advice, anyway. So, I'm back at square 1, looking for a GP who I like. Sheesh!

A crazy day in Chickenville!!!Late yesterday while I was working in one of the houses a snake showed up.Here's a heads up on two things that don't work well at getting rid of a snake, 1) throwing a rock at it and 2)throwing a dead chicken at it.I came to the house to get DH to get rid of it. Told him there was a HUGE, probably poisonious snake that was after me.He gets points for not pointing out that it was a fairly small harmless black snake.Today it got so hot here.By 11 it was a heat index of 101.Unfortunately that was when I was out for a run. When you spend a few hours working in a 94 degree chicken house it doesn't seem so hot outside.I had no idea it was that hot. I knew it by the time I finished my run!!!The I went back down to find vents had all dropped open in one house. The thermostat was reacting to the heat.I called DH to see how I should fix it.His suggestion was to put ice on the thermostat BUT to be very careful because I could get shocked.I was pretty suspicious of that idea because he just started working with a cute 18 yr old and thought maybe he just wanted me out of the picture!!The we decided if I put the ice in a plastic bag it would be fine and it was.Another chicken crisis solved!!!

Big plans for weekend, back to work but hoping to meet up with a friend at track tomorrow for a workout.

15 min project, laundry laundry laundry

Nice thing for DH..I'm still thinking.....
