Okay. Pull up these two items, if you dare. One contains the nutritional values of the beverages. The other is a Brit's take on Starbucks and is funny and informative.

I've slowly begun to back away from my Starbucks fix. Hope to give it up completely, and then tackle my coffee habit in general.

We don't have a Starbucks in our area, but at MIL's, there's a local coffee shop that sells many of the same coffee products. I normally go for cappucino, but lately have done Mochas.... I don't drink enough of them to have a health effect on me, but it's time to go back to the cappucinos!

I'm not surprised at the calorie, carb and fat content of some of those concoctions.

I guess there are some perks to lactose intolerance!!! I've never acquired a taste for lattes, etc. I've only had one and that was the other night. Otherwise, I only ever order the black coffee, straight up, no cream, no sugar! Not planning on giving that up!

I'm so glad I don't like coffee or anything coffee flavored. One lesson food demon to wrestle with.

What scares me is the drink I'm stuck on this summer isn't even listed. Chocolate malted BLENDED CREME. Note the emphasis. It cannot be made with lo-fat milk, only regular. I can hear my arteries slamming shut.....

That should have been "one less food." My fingers are not working properly.

If you really want to know how to order a Latte you'll have to come to Seattle. Seattle is the birth place of Starbucks, and as I understand, Starbucks has also taken over Seattle's Best Coffee which sells mostly the same stuff that Starbucks does.

If you ever look up info on Seattle it will say that a Latte is THE State Washington's drink of record.

I had to laugh ... one time in New Jersey I went to a Starbucks and there was a very young barista who took my order. I ordered a Grande Non-fat Sugar-free Latte. The barista told me that all Latte's were sugar-free. LOL ... for someone from Seattle this was a very funny thing ... he didn't know that Starbucks Sugar-free Lattes are Vanilla flavored. That's the only Sugar-free syrup that they have.

I would prefer sugar-free hazelnut but they haven't changed yet.
