you were thinking on? I went to a different stylist today (the other one called last Friday wanting to put me off to a later time & I said no . . .). I am pleased with the shapeup this new lady did - although I liked the first cut better. I still love having shorter hair, though. The new stylist is trying to talk my into lowlights - kind of reddish blonde. I told her I'd think on it.

There's an article in Vogue about having "hip" hair. Am wondering if I can now say I have that - LOL! It is amazing how a good haircut will lift one's mood.

Kat, I really want to see a pic of you with the new haircut.Or maybe I'll just slip over to Texas to see it in person.I go for a haircut on Thurs. But I think I'm just doing a trim this time.I emailed my friend the picture and she liked it. My hair, of course, is doing great now that I want to cut it.We're going to change the color some in the fall so I was thinking about doing the cut and color all at once for a fun change.Or maybe that would be too much of a change at once. What do you think? My hair now is fairly blonde and just a smidge past my shoulders.

Hmmm. . . well, Blondie, we haven't seen you with your current color in pictures have we? You have to really be ready for a change to go to a short cut - but I think the cut you chose is very cute!

It's really hard for me to want to give in to what's called "lowlights" when I've always liked kind of light blonde streaks thru my hair. My stylist is really trying to convince me to do that but I don't know. She mentioned reddish & I say nah, maybe honey blonde & lighter blonde highlights. You just have to do what you want with your own hair. She tried to put more layers in my hair yesterday & I'm sorry but I feel I am right about too many layers in baby fine, thin hair like mine - not a good thing. Some layers are fine. Then she told me that I shouldn't spray that leave in conditioner on my hair (I've been doing that for awhile) as it weighs it down - yeah, yeah, yeah. I listen & nod but I do what I want. She does a friend's hair with the lowlights and the friend's hair looks great for about a week & then her hair looks damaged. She also layers the you know what out of it, which is fine for my friend's short short hair, but that's just not for me. I don't want flyaway, damaged hair sticking every which way. You can tell I get onery can't you? I will have to say that since I had my hair cut in June, I have not had one bad hair day.

What kind of color is your stylist speaking of?

It never fails. When you have a scheduled appointment, you have the best hair days of your life. I have an appt. to do my hair cut on Friday and the last 2 days my hair has just fallen into place perfectly. So then you say...should I cancel? I know if I do I will immediately have a bad hair day....what's a woman to do?! Not only do we have to have periods, babies and menopause symptoms....we gotta have to make tough decisions about hair cuts and color too!
