What a woman wants...

to know!

What do you do to relax? DH says I'm way too stressed out for no good reason. He's probably right and that's taking it's toll on my diet and my self-esteem.

Boss is driving me over the edge and making me so jumpy that I keep making dumb mistakes. Which of course makes me head for the Ho-Ho's in the vending machine. How do you all deal with stress? I have to find another outlet besides eating! And I can only exercise so much in one day.

What I need is something quick that I can do at work on my breaks or whatever. Usually I can get away by myself for a few minutes if I need to so come on with the ideas ladies. I can't think anymore and my jeans can't take too many more Ho-Ho's.

Thanks for putting up with my neurotic tendencies.

I certainly won't shun you, Lori! (And hope you don't shun me for not having completed my college degree yet!). I personally think "prove all things" one of the best passages in the Bible of all time & I still struggle with questions concerning religion. For instance, I dislike certain parts of the Bible, and I don't care if anyone has a problem with that - human beings put the Bible together & human beings err. I'm interested in Buddhist philosophy too. I hate people trying to tell me what I should believe. The only being I want telling me what to do and what to believe is the one that created me - guess I'm a rebel against human authority. Whatever . . . anyway, a scientific mind is what I WISH I had!

But even the one who created you wouldn't tell you what to do or who to believe....He just shows you the way :-)

My sister with the high-power, high stress job swears by meditation and yoga. I fall asleep when I try to meditate.

I would never shun you or anyone else for their beliefs. Your beliefs do not change how I feel about you. I hope you will find a way to bring more peace and harmony into your life.

With all you have going on in your life Kat, when would you have time to complete your college degree? I suppose you could try learning by osmosis and put your books under your pillow at night. Never worked for me though. You'll do it when the time is right. I waited until I was in my 30's to go to college.

I also have an interest in Buddhist philosophy. I've always been a rebel against authority of all kinds. Still to this day I do it, although I do it with less outrage than I used to. Guess I'm getting old...LoL.

I usually fall asleep too. Of course if I didn't try to do it lying down on the bed in the evening in a darkened room with soft music playing I probably wouldn't fall asleep. But still, even if I do fall asleep, ya gotta admit, that's relaxed!

My Pilates instructor and her daughters are Buddhist and tried to get me to go to a meeting with them. 'Fraid I'm a dyed-in-the-wool Christian, and a Nazarene at that.

Thank you Phyllis. Religious beliefs, or lack thereof, have always been a personal matter to me. In the end, how you live your life speaks louder than your religious affiliation.
