15-minute all-day project!

Coming up next week is the huge local consignment sale. The main event is over the weekend, though the owner now does two sale days afterwards. Over 750 consignors are on record. I like it because it is so big, well-attended, and consignors get 65% on the price, but since it's only a weekend, it's very hectic - for shopping as well as preparing stuff. It's not like you can drag along on preparing your stuff because there are only two receiving days, and unlike longer lasting sales where the organizer might provide tagging guns, you have to prepare index cards yourself. A LOT of work, but worth it if you have re-sellable items. What made it overwhelming for me is that earlier this year we decided to hold our family at just the three of us, so I've got 4 years worth of Allison's outgrown fall/winter clothes to sort through. (I did the same for the spring/summer clothes back in March.) So, since I'm going to MIL's this weekend, since I've been working on Moms & Munchkins at church, since I've been coordinating the Care Train for our little tike in Canada... I just got around to signing up for the sale two days ago, and just started sorting and tagging clothes yesterday. ...15 hours later at 1am last night, thank-you-very-much, I finally had most of it done, just attaching the last tags this mrning. I'm not committing myself to any more 15 minute projects for two months - I've got 60 banked! LOL!

I've volunteered to work a shift, so that means I got an early volunteer pass for Thursday night shopping. Looking forward to it! Allison wore size 4 two years in a row, so she pretty much needs all new stuff.

that sounds like a lot of work for you! I hope you find some nice things for your daughter and maybe for you when you get to early shop. --ciroflex
