Rhonda's Friday Five ...

made me think. I was strolling thru CL and thinking about the question "what would you wear if you were at your ideal weight".The I thought about what keeps me from being at the weight I want. Some of it is peer pressure from my buddies Sara(Lee) and Betty (Crocker). But mostly it all comes down to me!!I say I'm going to do better and I do for awhile. Then I either get cocky and think one cookie won't hurt or I give in to stress eating. Then some how one cookie becomes a box!!!

This is crazy!!!!I'm tired of waiting to be the right weight!I need to quit waiting and start working.I'm looking forward to the Challenge. I'm ready for it!!!!!

Can't we just PAY someone to do it for us?

Me too, even though I feel like the dickens now with this yicky sore throat & cold. I'm ready to have that mind/body connection. Rhonda, I did buy a video called "Pilates Conditioning for Weight Loss" with Suzanne Deason (which is the lady that does the A.M. P.M. Yoga with Rodney Yee) and the video is put out by the same company that puts out the Beginner's Pilates Mat Workout. I watched the interview with Suzanne Deason & what she said about what Pilates can help with besides the toning, strengthening, elongating, etc. is the mind/body connection, which of course is a tool for weight loss. Boy, do I need that connection! Anyway, I'm studying my video tonight & maybe tomorrow I'll have made some headway in learning how to perform some of the exercises. Of course, I still plan on doing powerwalking/running, but this seems like such a blessing for me to help get rid of the stress, too!

Here, here Patti, I agree. I want sick of waiting. I want that change too. I hope I can get myself to stick with this and/or anything long enough to see some kind of results.

ROFL, yea I really liked that idea. Pay someone to do all the hard work for us. Well I have to say, even if we could pay someone, these fancy celebraties, pay someone to push them on their workouts, enourage them to keep going, and someone to cook all those fancy and healthy dishes. That has to help and make things a little easier for them, right?

It is wonderfully rejuvenating and relaxing at the same time, but I haven't been doing it with the neck problem and the movtivation problem. I really need to get back into it. When I was taking the 2 hr. classes, I felt great!!

I gotta jump on that wagon too. The line from "Making the Connection" in Oprah's video always plagues me..."if I say I want it so bad, why don't I have it?"
