Good morning-

Welcome Ciro and Cinderella. Great to have you join us.

I was hoping to get on th board this morning and see the 2 new headers (goals, challenges) would be added. They were supposed to be added by the end of the day. I'll send out an email again if I don't see them by this afternoon because.....Monday starts our challenge.

Be thinking of goals if you would like to post on that as well. We'll pick our top 3 goals for the week and then see how we follow up on short term goals. Hopefully this will strengthen us all to commit to a long term plan. How many hours you might put in the the challenge might even be a weekly goal. Just thinking out loud.

OK...watcha doin' today?

Have a fabulous weekend....start working on those goals and putting together your workout plan. Challenge yourself...amaze yourself.....be proud of yourself!

Today is all about the Apple Festival! We're at MIL's again for the Labor Day weekend, and for 57 years, the town has had their Apple Fest this weekend. We've been coming for 7 years or so and always enjoy it. Probably do some swimming later on here at the house, and tomorrow I want to get some hiking in on the Carl Sandburg grounds. The Cus and I brought our hiking boots! I don't think it'll be much more than 3 miles total, maybe less.

Good Morning!

Hot and humid here today. Callin' for rain, rain and more rain or the next week! I hope it doesn't rain thru my favorite season of the year!

Hitting the treadmill early and then DH and I are working out together...weights and abs.

Getting the kids ready to start school on Tuesday. Want their rooms all cleaned up and out.

That's my plan for the day!

Have started thinking about my challenge and goals for the month. Will be posting them as soon as I have it all together.

Hugs :)

Sassy

Then we are going to work in the back yard and get it cleaned up. We already have SO many leaves that have fallen because of the dry weather. Have a simply wonderful day ladies.

Mornin' All

After what seems like hitting rock bottom yesterday, I slept well last night and I think I'm ready to get on with things so back and up and at it this morning. It's HHH here and I'm glad that I got a walk in when I did. Walked 4.6 miles. DH had breakfast waiting as I walked in the front door, enjoyed my AM cup of coffee in my most favorite chair which I haven't met with lately and now will be heading off to the shower. Have a color and cut scheduled for this morning and getting the straggly hair back in shape is always a mood elevator! Definite day for some decluttering around here so I can find the floor again around here!

Hope you all enjoy your Saturday!

Good to hear your morning is going so well, and that you're getting to do some things you enjoy. The hair appt. is a definite plus. Enjoy the rest of your day.

Heading to the beach today, but everyone is moving a bit slow. We stayed up pretty late. I got in a lot of physical labor yesterday and want to keep it up with a long, brisk walk on the beach. The water temp. is back up FINALLY (86), so I may even actually get to go in the water before the summer is totally gone. It's so humid here that the windows have moisture built up on the outside, so you can't see out, the way they do on the inside in the winter. I was drenched working outside yesterday, which is very unusual.

I'm thinking about my goals too. Patty's post last night and the line from the Bob Green book are now haunting me too.

Have a fun first day of the holiday weekend!

Wow, goals? Ok, I'm definitely not with it (think this lousy cold is to blame), but will most assuredly try to get it together before Monday. I love my new Pilates video & it has lots of legwork - my big trouble spot! So, today I'm going to do the 45 min. workout & if I feel okay by the end of the day, I'm going for my 1 hour long powerwalk!

I can name 2 goals for sure that I have for the rest of the year, fitness-wise:

1. To gain a mind/body connection so that I may eat healthier, work out more efficiently, and reduce stress (maybe I'll lose some fat in the process!).

2. To make sure I carve out 5 days per week MINIMUM for my workouts (6 days per week would be better). Work will always be here, but my health won't unless I take charge.

Today, I only have to work 4 hours at Dillard's and I'm off tomorrow! I'm ecstatic! Monday & Tuesday, I'm off from the Assoc. for Labor Day & my 44th (it's ok, I'll live thru this one!), so I will have PLENTY of time to get my Pilates workouts down pat. I'm going to try to map out a schedule (for early a.m.) of cardio, Pilates & a weights program for each week. Phyllis, do you have clients that do both Pilates (or Yoga) and weights? I've heard of people that do both.

I'm going to try to eat alot better now that I'm away from the Hershey's at the office! Can't smell or taste, so that shouldn't be a problem anyway! LOL!

Everyone, have a lovely Saturday - it's a beautiful day here in E. Texas & it makes one thrilled to be alive!

Great idea on the goals. Mine are always better eating. Same story for me...I get HOURS of great fitness, but my eating NEEDS big improvement always.

Went out for the usual Mexican last night--ran into friends so it was extra fun for dinner. They have three very cute little ones! Offered to watch the kids while Mom unpacks, they just bought a huge new house (to accomm all the kids LOL) and should be moving in when we get back. Should be fun!

Picking up a friend this am (who I actually first met here on ivillage!) and then we're picking up another friend in Port Orchard...then we're all trekking to Silverdale for a super duper workout.

Today is cleaning the house day HA HA..last minute deb, get some food for housesitters, and then PACK.....yes...I must do this :o).

Good morning everyone!A beautiful sunny day here, at least for now.Just got out of CL will throw on my workout clothes and do either a walk or a run.I've been walking more for the last week and actually seeing more from that than the running.Maybe it's because I've been more faithful to my weights though.

Sassy, had to laugh about you having the kids clean their rooms. My kid announced the other night that since he's going to be around here longer than he thought he's going to clean his room and paint it.Mixture of emotions there!!!LOL

Phyllis, love the things you've posted this morning.I'm going to be using them for fitness(mental and physical)and for work.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Miss P
