Yup...its really been raining here. But, no complaints. Its much better than too much heat. BTW...Rhonda, do you ever sleep?

Johnny is off hunting this morning. I want to go to church this morning but I'm not very good about going by myself. I'm not sure why.

Are you busy writing up goals and planning your workouts? That's going to be my 15 minute project today. I'm going to do a 6 day split like I was talking to Sassy about. I see that we don't have our headers yet so I'll see if I can get them done before tomorrow morning. I think walking on the treadmill will be my workout today and the 15 minute project...well, let's just say yesterday was such a lazy day that I have quite a few stacked up.

1. Remember to start counting all your workout time starting tomorrow. Everything is based on time worked out. Doesn't make any difference if it pilates, weights, running, crawling, whatever...count it. We want to blow away the other boards. We're not competing against each other. Don't you just love seeing our name at the top when you open up the Diet and Fitness Boards?!

2. If you would like to participate in weekly goals, start thinking about your top 3 that you want to accomplish for the week. I think starting October, we ought to go monthly goals so we thinking short and long term goals but, let's ease into this.

3. Each Monday I'll be "callin" for time worked out and I will keep track of each person's time for the month to accumulate for the month. I will also be asking if the goals were accomplished for the week.

I think this will be a lot of fun and I KNOW...we can all and will all get back on track again.

Hope your Sunday is full of blessings!

Happy Sunday.

Went to bed early. Slept in a bit this morning. Woke up to Flo this morning. She arrived unexpectedly, but with little fan fare. Thankfully. Achy this morning, but that's about it.

Not sure what I'll do about working out today. I think I'm going to rest today, maybe do some stretching later. DH and I are going out for a big power walk tomorrow morning to kick off the new challenge.

Church this morning. Rest of the day we're just going to do things around the house.

Phyllis, you need to find a church that you enjoy going to. Then you would look forward to going every Sunday, with or without the big guy.

Chat with you all later. Not callin' for rain today, which is a change. Callin' for it tomorrow, however.

Later.

Sassy

Good morning! Actually, I had a long nap after the beach yesterday, so that's why I wound up getting up for a while and checking out the board and stuff in the middle of the night.

The guys stayed up late last night watching a movie, so I'm the only one up. Normally we'd be headed to the beach by now. We are supposed to go, and still need to pick up Rob's friend, so I guess I should wake them up. It was gorgeous yesterday and should be good again today. Didn't get to walk much yesterday, because a guy who works with Tim brought his girl friend who'd just moved to Jax., so I felt I should visit and make her feel welcome. If we can beat them to the beach today, I could take off before they get there! I did take Katie (Yorkie) walking the last several afternoons.

I need to work on what my workouts will be too, especially since I won't have the beach to rely on much longer (Waaaah!). I'm really working more on my attitude right now to make sure I'll do it and attempt to stick with it. I like all the positive words of wisdom we've had on the board lately.

Have a fun day!

Good Morning

Certainly not a Saturated Sunday here! Just shows you how wrong the weather people can be. We were supposed to have a miserable weekend weather wise. Yesterday was hot & humid but otherwise the sun was out most of the day. Today is absolutely picture perfect! The humidity has left and when I left for church at 7 this morning I actually put on a thin sweatshirt!

Feeling a bit overwhelmed again this morning but trying desperately to keep things in perspective. My mind is whirling in a thousand directions and having trouble keeping up with it. I have to get my laundry piles in control and have started on that. I want to get my checkbook in order and bills up to date and some of my paperwork in order, started sorting it last night just have to follow through and get it put away. A run to Costco is a must and then after that my time for a manicure. I really don't know what else is on the agenda. I will definetly need to get some time outside to enjoy this beautiful day. I think DH will probably be taking his mom and sister to the hospital again today. They don't drive and his other sister works nights and is sometimes difficult to get them up there when they want to go so DH has been trying to help them get up there when he can so they don't have to rely on cab service. I think DS is going to go with him and I'm sure grandpa will enjoy seeing his only grandson! He's having trouble remembering everyone's names although DH thinks that he recongnizes who they are. All the other grandkids are girls!

Hope you all enjoy your day!

That sounds like a pretty busy day. I hope that you can take some time to sit and read a good book, too. Nancy

Good morning. It isn't a saturated Sunday here....oh, I so wish that it was!!! It is cloudy, though. Maybe there is hope....

Today we are heading out about 100 miles for an anniversary celebration for a cousin and her husband. It is their 50th. I was their flower girl 50 years ago and they really want me to come. Of course, I do want to be there to see the family. That will pretty much take up our day. We are heading out in about an hour and we'll hit Walmart first, have lunch after that and then go to the 'party'. After that is done we'll probably have supper with my parents and then come home.

No exercise for me today. Tomorrow I'll jump in with gusto!

I know that's true. I've been thinking a lot about Johnny leaving from 9 Sep-21 Nov. I want to be sure that I get to church and that I'm productive with that time that he's gone. I don't want to fall into the "poor me" I'm lonely pity party thing. I'm starting a new Bible Study on 9 Sep as well so I'm looking forward to that. But, I still need to find a church that I enjoy the service and enjoy the people. Not that worship is all about me...but if you won't go...you don't worship.

I think a nap is in order for me today! I'm so tired from this cold! We had a great SS class today with the message being on forgiveness (story of Joseph & how he forgave his brothers & one of Jesus' parables). Woke up at 6 a.m. to make the streusel, fruit tray and sausages/crescents. The class members were so sweet with their appreciation. I just love that group.

I know what you mean about finding a church, Phyllis. I'm so happy I've found a wonderful SS class, but sometimes that huge church seems overwhelming to me . . . I have to work alot of Sundays so it's ok, and I'm blessed to have found that SS class. Anyway, I hope you find one you will be happy with, but in the meantime those Bible studies sound wonderful.

Later, I hope to take a long powerwalk.

Have a blessed Sunday everyone.
