the "Last Supper Syndrome" we discussed previously. I guess because the Challenge starts tomorrow, I've eaten several things in the same day that I normally wouldn't. Did well at breakfast, healthy cereal with soy milk, but things went downhill from there. Had a cheese-filled bear claw for a mid-morning snack at the beach, then had 2 pieces of leftover pizza (didn't eat any last night) for lunch. On the way home, we stopped at TCBY, where we each got a frozen yogurt parfait. Mine was White Chocolate Macedamia Nut frozen yogurt with wet walnuts on the bottom, raspberries in the middle, and wet walnuts on top under the whipped cream. I know, it was awful (but it tasted SO good)! I'll be good starting tomorrow. Famous last words...

I did get a really good workout at the beach today. Walked about 5 miles, with approximately 1/4 of it in very soft almost spongy wet sand, so my heels sunk down and really stretched my calves, hamstrings, and even the psoas muscles. I had to work harder, felt it in my hips and butt, and it was more of a cardio workout too. I did part of the walk in calf-deep water for resistance. Pretty sure I'll be feeling it tomorrow even though I had a hot soak when we got home.

Hope everyone else is having a good evening.

Well had a much better afternoon than I did morning. The nail salon always does a hand massage but they gave me a whole arm massage-WONDERFUL! DH took his mom and sister to see his dad and while he was gone I donned the sneakers with the intention of walking around the park. I took another route and ended up walking 4.9 miles. It was a fun walk as I had no particular destination in mind just walked where I felt like going and I went to a different section of the town where we live and walked by some of the houses that we looked at and some of the houses that I would love to live in. I love seeing what people have done with houses like mine. I also walked up through the next town next to us and wound my way back through our town and ended up actually walking around the park. I came back with some ambition & energy to tackle a little bit of housework and made DH a nice dinner of stuffed shells. I took Otto for the after dinner walk and I guess because the weather is cooler he actually took me for a walk and a run! Eating was all under control and at the moment I think I'm going to put the pjs on have a sugar free jello cup with some fat free cool whip, watch a Trading Spaces that I had taped and if my eyes remain open perhaps read a bit. Hope all this walking makes me sleep well tonight!

Hope you all had a good day.

Rhonda, what a great workout you got in!!!I was thinking about you the other day and how hard it must be when you can't get to the beach during the colder months.Usually by February and always by March I'm ready to say goodbye to winter.

Thanks, Patty! We really do have beach withdrawal when we can't go. As soon as we go off daylight savings time my body feels the need to go south. I need a winter house in South Florida or the Bahamas!! I'm with you about being eager for winter to end.
