I see where Dr Phil has come out with some weight loss products. At CVS today I saw vitamins for apple shaped people and pear shaped people.I also saw he had bars and they said shakes but I didn't see those.I guess this is all to go with his new book on weight loss.It will be interesting to see what his approach is to weight loss.

I'm sorry but this sounds like his way of making a buck! I like Dr.Phil but I truly hate it when they start promoting things like this.

I'm just as sorry as you Tweety. It does sound like a fast buck generator to me. I recently read an article (online, somewhere, I'll try to find it again) that compared a whole bunch of different weight loss plans to simply following the USDA food pyramid. None of the 'plans' fared any better and many did worse than just following the food pyramid.

I'm done with this plan or that plan. I can't take it anymore. Someone kick my butt if I even mention it again.

I too, like Dr. Phil but it sounds to me like Tweety is right. A fast way to make a buck!

Add me to the list of people who say fast bucks. Like he really needs any more. Stick to good old fashioned smarts and healthy eating and everyone should do fine.

You're so right, Booty! I won't kick your butt, though! I'm with you on no more ALREADY on these different weight loss plans. I also get irritated reading conflicting things about types of exercise. I've come to the conclusion, if it isn't bad for you, then do it if you want.

Dr. Phil seems knowledgeable in his expertise & should be able to offer helpful advice on psychological aspects of weight loss. I wonder if he has any kind of background in nutrition.

I was disappointed to see the things he has for sale.I usaully enjoy his show and like him alright but sometimes I find him to be alittle insensitive and going for the laugh too much.I just don't buy into the concept of a certain vitamin for a certain body shape. And it does seem like another way for someone to make money off what is a very big problem in out culture.

I'm with you, Tweety. I thought he was above this sort of money-grab. I thought his focus on weight loss this season was going to be on the emotional issues involved with food, diet, and body image. Real disappointed to find out there's a product endorsement involved.

Silly me....

Most traditional doctors have little or no background in nutrition, which is so ridiculous!
